摘要: A method of making a micro-fluid ejection head structure and structures made by the method. The method includes planarizing a heated substrate component of a micro-fluid ejection head structure by applying a clamping voltage to an electrostatic chuck sufficient to hold the substrate component in a planarized orientation. A polymeric nozzle layer is laminated to the heated substrate component in a manner sufficient to provide a planarized nozzle layer on the substrate component.

摘要: Embodiments include apparatus, methods, and systems of an electronic module for a system board having at least one pass-thru hole. An exemplary electronic module, connectable to a system board with a pass-thru hole, includes a first portion coupled to one side of the system board. The first portion has a printed circuit board (PCB) with plural processors. A second portion of the electronic module couples to a second, opposite side of the system board. The second portion has a power system board electrically coupled to the first portion. The second portion also includes a thermal dissipation device that extends through the pass-thru hole of the system board.

摘要: Embodiments include apparatus, methods, and systems having a multi-chip module with stacked redundant power. An exemplary apparatus has a module having plural processors. A first power system is coupled, in a vertically stacked configuration, to the module for providing power to the module. A second power system provides power to the module and is coupled, in a vertically stacked configuration, to the first power system. Each power system serves as a duplicate for preventing failure of the module upon failure of one of the power systems. A thermal dissipation device is disposed between both the first and second power systems and the first power system and module such that the thermal dissipation device dissipates heat, via heat exchange, away from the processors, the first power system, and the second power system.

摘要: A dispenser for sheet materials includes a top portion, a bottom portion, and a restraining member preventing the top and bottom portion from separating. The top portion and the bottom portion can telescope to vary the dispenser's overall height. In one embodiment, by designing a dispenser having bottom sidewalls and top sidewalls of approximately the same length, problems with access to the exposed sheet or excessive manipulation to change the dispenser's height can be avoided. In another embodiment, by designing the dispenser such that the height of the dispenser can automatically reduce as the sheet material is depleted or where the height can be adjusted by simply pushing down on the dispenser's top makes the dispenser convenient to use.

摘要: A method and apparatus for quantifying and rating customer demand based on measuring desires, delivery and dollars paid. The 3-D customer demand rating method and apparatus provides a series of steps for building, collecting, indexing, rating and analyzing the demand levels customers have for a particular supplier. Customers submit their desires for a set of attributes and evaluate a supplier's ability to delivery them for a given price. Indexed scores for desires, delivery and dollars paid with common scales provide direct comparison and interpretation of which attributes suppliers deliver on best. Demand ratings for each supplier provide a way to benchmark competitors. Groups of customers that possess similar levels of desire and are willing to pay the same price are created. These demand segments are then used so suppliers can create the right mix of Attributes to offer at the right price.

摘要: Systems and methods for operating a linear motor (e.g., for an ESP), where the motor's mover moves in a reciprocating motion within a bore of the stator. Hard stops are located at the ends of the bore. The motor has a first set of sensors in the stator positioned proximate to the bore. When the mover moves in the bore, the sensors produce corresponding output signals, except when the mover is in a position near, but not in contact with a hard stop. While the sensors produce output signals, the motor is driven in a first direction toward the hard stop. When the sensors stop producing the output signals, the mover has reached the first position, and the motor is controlled to reverse the direction of the mover.

摘要: A forced air dryer for gas masks or other face pieces having a drinking tube attached. A housing having a blower is attached to a distribution manifold with a heater therein. Spaced riser tubes each with spaced tubular mask support arms attached thereto are releasably fastened to the manifold for receiving forced air therein. In one version, adapted for wall mounting, the riser tubes extend vertically downward from the manifold; and, in another free standing version, the riser tubes extend vertically upward from the manifold. Each support arm has a wire support frame or “basket” thereon configured to support a gas mask or face piece with attached drinking tube thereon with a nozzle discharging forced air upwardly through the wire frame to the interior of the gas mask. Each riser has a separate air discharge nipple proximate each support arm and configured for threaded engagement with a canteen cap connected to the drinking tube for concurrently forcing air through the drinking tube. The dryer may be shipped disassembled in kit form, for ready reassembly, in situ, by the user.
