    摘要： In a thermal head comprising at least a pair of electrodes (3), (4), (13), (14), resistor layers (2), (12) in contact against both the electrodes (3), (4), (13), (14), basic plates (1), (11) for supporting the electrodes (3), (4), (13), (14) and the resistor layers (2), (12), the resistor layers (2), (12) are composed of the matrix of the glass and the metal and/or oxide of the resistor component element penetrated into the gap of the atomic coupling of the matrix. The resistor layers (2), (12) are made of paste containing the organic compound of the resistor component element, and the organic compound of the glass matrix component element or glass frit. The thermal head is homogeneous in the resistor layer thereof, and gives the recordings of superior quality.

    摘要： A fuel injection apparatus for an internal combustion engine, which comprises an accumulator for storing therein pressurized fuel while maintaining the pressure thereof at a predetermined high level. A fuel injection valve is arranged to inject the pressurized fuel in the accumulator into a combustion chamber of the engine. The injection valve is controlled to open and close by an output signal from an external control unit. A pressurizing pump is arranged to pressurize the fuel delivered from a fuel-feed pump and to supply it into the accumulator through a check valve. A work controlling device is arranged to control the amount of the fuel supplied from the pressurizing pump through the check valve into the accumulator in accordance with the variation of the amount of the fuel in the accumulator so as to decrease the amount of the fuel supplied from the pressurizing pump through the check valve into the accumulator when the amount of the fuel in the accumulator is increased and to increase it when the amount of the fuel in the accumulator is decreased.

    摘要： A catalyst for purifying an exhaust gas comprising a carrier substantially composed of calcium aluminate and titanium oxide. The carrier is deposited with a platinum group metal or a metal oxide capable of oxidizing reductive gases into innoxious ones. The titanium oxide is applied on the surface of the carrier or incorporated in the carrier. The carrier may further comprise a transition metal oxide showing catalytic activity. A method of making a catalyst is also disclosed in which titanium oxide is applied on the surface of a solid mass of calcium aluminate.

    摘要： A hydraulic valve lift device for transmitting the motion of a cam to a push rod of an intake or exhaust valve of an engine, including a housing, a lifter slidably engaged by the housing and provided therein with an oil pressure chamber adapted to receive an oil, and a plunger provided with a flange portion and slidable in relation to the lifter. The flange portion of the plunger and cylindrical bore of the housing cooperate with each other to define therebetween a braking chamber into which oil is introduced. The device has a slit through which the oil in the braking chamber is relieved to the outside. The arrangement is such that the rate of oil relieved through the braking chamber is reduced as the plunger is lowered. The device further includes a relief valve for maintaining the pressure in the braking chamber below a predetermined pressure level.
