摘要： It is the objective of this invention to reduce deviation in contact resistance variation between electrodes among pressure-sensitive resistor sensors. The sensor is composed of a pair of films. One film has a plurality of electrode portions extending in a certain direction and the other film has at least one electrode portion that is arranged in a transverse relation with a plural of the electrode portions on the other film. Contact points generated by applied pressure are limited to crossing points between the electrode portions of the pair of films. As a result, variation in contact resistance due to applied pressure shift becomes more constant. Thus, it is possible to reduce deviation of contact resistance between the electrodes among sensors.

摘要： An air bag device mounted in an instrument panel has an inflator for supplying gas, a bag body having a gas inlet hole, and an inner bag disposed inside of the bag body. The inner bag is formed with a pair of first through-holes and a second through-hole so that an opening area of the first through-hole is larger than that of the second through-hole. The inner bag is expanded by the gas supplied from the inflator, while a large amount of the gas is discharged from the first through-hole. Accordingly, the air bag body is expanded toward the waist of a passenger on a passenger seat. At the same time, the gas is discharged from the second through-hole to flow along an inside of a windshield, whereby the air bag can be also expanded toward the head of the passenger. As a result, even if the inflator is mounted in the instrument panel at its upper portion, the air bag device can securely protect the passenger on the passenger seat.

摘要： An air bag is stored in a folded state in a space in a door or an arm rest, laterally of a passenger in a cabin. An inflator for generating a flow of gas is also stored inside the door or the arm rest. When a collision occurs, the inflator discharges a flow of gas directed upward and introduced into the air bag, which causes the air bag to be inflated so that the inflated air bag occupies a space between a passenger and the door or the vehicle body, laterally of passenger. As a result, the passenger is cushioned from any shock caused by the collision, to thereby protect the passenger from injury.

摘要： A durable protective tube for a thermocouple having an extended serviceable life is obtained by covering a tubular preform of ceramic material with a refractory coating. The refractory coating is an alternate arrangement of one or more fine refractory layers of fine particulate refractory material having a particle size of 150 mesh to 500 mesh and one or more coarse refractory layers of coarse particulate refractory material having a particle size of 0.1 mm to 2.0 mm. The refractory coating is prepared by alternately applying a slurry of fine refractory particulates in a colloidal silica or ethyl silicate hydrolyzate binder and then coarse refractory particulates on the outer surface of the tubular preform followed by optional sintering.

摘要： An AC generator for a vehicle comprises a rotor having a pair of finger magnetic poles and an armature iron core. By deviating pole pieces of the finger magnetic poles by predetermined angles relative to each of opposed tooth portions of the armature iron core, torque variation applied to each of the pole pieces during rotation is cancelled, and magnetic sound can be greatly decreased without reducing the output of the AC generator.
