An injection-molded product is obtained by injection molding a thermoplastic resin material. The thermoplastic resin material comprises a polyglycolic acid homopolymer or copolymer having a repeating unit represented by the following formula (1): ##STR1## in a proportion not lower than 70 wt. % and a repeating unit derived from at least one cyclic comonomer selected from the group consisting of ethylene oxalate and lactide in a proportion not higher than 30 wt. %, and having the following physical properties: (a) a melt viscosity, n*, measured at a temperature of the melting point, Tm, of the polyglycolic acid homopolymer or copolymer +20.degree. C. and a shear rate of 1,000/sec, of 30-10,000 Pa.multidot.s; (b) a melting point, Tm, of at least 150.degree. C.; (c) a melt enthalpy, .DELTA.Hm, of at least 20 J/g; and (d) a density of at least 1.50 g/cm.sup.3 as measured in an unoriented, crystallized form. The injection-molded product has Izod impact strength, unnotched, 25.degree. C., of at least 20 kJ/m.sup.2, tensile strength of a least 60 MPa, tensile elongation of at least 5%, flexural strength of at least 100 MPa, and flexural modulus of at least 5 GPa, and is obtained by injection molding at an injection temperature ranging from the melting point, Tm, of the homopolymer or copolymer to 255.degree. C.

Disclosed herein are (1) a composition which is prepared by combining 0.2 to 90 parts by weight of a cross-linked polyarylene thioether having a melt viscosity of 5.times.10.sup.5 to 1.times.10.sup.9 poise, which becomes gel under melting, with 100 parts by weight of a resin consisting of polyarylene thioether, which has a repeating unit of ##STR1## as the main constituent, having a melt viscosity of 10 to 5.times.10.sup.4 poise and (2) a composition of polyarylene thioether for molding, which is prepared by combining not more than 400 parts by weight of a fibrous filler and/or an inorganic filler with 100 parts by weight of the above-mentioned composition (1), is excellent in an antiflash property, is high in a mechanical strength and a thermal stability and is easily processed on melt molding and can easily recycle its molded scraps.

C., thereby preliminarily crystallizing the stretched, molded product until the increased portion of the crystallization degree becomes not less than 6% and then thermally treating preliminarily crystallized product at 140.degree. to 300.degree. The invention provides poly(ethylene oxalate) containing recurring units represented by the following formula (1): ##STR1## in a proportion of at least 60 basal mol %, wherein (a) the solution viscosity (.eta..sub.inh) is at least 0.25 dl/g as measured at 30.degree. C. and a polymer concentration of 0.40 g/dl in a 4:1 (by weight) mixed solvent of m-chlorophenol and 1,2,4-trichloro-benzene, (b) the melt viscosity (.eta.*) is at least 30 Pa.s as measured at 190.degree. C. and a shear rate of 1,000/sec, and (c) the density is at least 1.48 g/cm.sup.3 as measured in an amorphous state, various products formed or molded from the poly(ethylene oxalate) and a production process of the poly(ethylene oxalate). The polymer is high-molecular weight and excellent in melt processability, heat resistance, crystalline properties, mechanical properties and the like, and has good degradability in soil.

In a process for producing a polyarylene thioether having high stability by dehalogenation/sulfurization reaction of an alkali metal (M) sulfide such as sodium sulfide and a dihaloaromatic compound such as paradichlorobenzene in a polar organic solvent, the haloaromatic compound is used excessively in an appropriate range rather than the alkali metal sulfide and the latter stage of the reaction or all period of the reaction is conducted under a powerful stirring condition to a certain degree to obtain the polyarylene thioether wherein the concentration of --SM or --SH groups of the polymer terminal is lowered. The polyarylene thioether thus obtained suppresses the coloration in the processing with an apparatus made of ferrous material such as extruder.
