    摘要: An apparatus and method for dry treatment of grain comprises a grain peeler for mechanically treating pre-cleaned grain to remove flour bran and coarse bran to a peeling depth of about 4% to 9% with simultaneous separating of the flour bran; an aspiration separator separating coarse bran based on particle velocity and size; a grain mill; and sieve separator separating the husk bran of between 2%-3% of the grain kernel mass from endosperm flour by differences in particle size. An apparatus and method for mash preparation from the endosperm flour comprises mixing tank for mixing endosperm flour with water, enzymes, etc; a colloid mill for processing the batch using mechano-activation with oscillation frequencies between 1 and 200 kHz and with impulse duration of between 0.05 and 1.0 seconds and for 2 to 20 processing cycles, coarse particle sifter for separation of the coarse batch particles form the mash.

A rice bran extract in which components having specific physiologically active functions are singled out, and these components are reduced or removed. The components are suwari-inhibiting components. The rice bran extract is preferably a water extract. The components are reduced or removed by precipitation or dialysis. The precipitation is calcium precipitation. The suwari-inhibiting components are phytin and/or phytic acid. The rice bran extract can be used as a fish paste additive.

Also, a method of producing a high fiber expanded cereal product comprising the step of combining a waxy starch in an amount from about 5 to about 15% by weight of the total composition and a cereal mixture comprising a fiber source in an amount from about 1 to about 15% by weight of the total composition to form a total cereal composition. The total cereal composition is mixed with water and extruded to form an expanded cereal product.

    摘要: A process for extracting the water soluble fiber from corn fiber hulls is provided comprising the steps of subjecting the corn fiber hulls to a destarching process, a dewatering process, and exposing the destarched and dewatered corn fiber hulls to a thermochemical treatment to obtain a water-soluble non-caloric corn fiber. A water-soluble non-caloric corn fiber composition is disclosed comprising a destarched corn fiber hull produced by subjecting corn fiber hulls to a non-alkaline destarching process to obtain a destarched corn fiber, dewatering said destarched corn fiber hull, and exposing said destarched and dewatered corn fiber hull to one or more thermochemical treatments to obtain a water-soluble non-caloric corn fiber. Foods and a pharmaceutical comprising the water-soluble non-caloric corn fiber composition are disclosed.
