Abstract:
A method for producing a tube from metal is stated, by use of which method a metal strip by means of a drawing-off installation is moved in the longitudinal direction of said metal strip and is guided through a forming station in which said metal strip is formed to a slot tube having a slot running the in the longitudinal direction. The two edges of the metal strip abut to one another at the slot. Said two ends for producing a fully closed tube are welded to one another by use of a welding installation that is equipped with a laser. The slot tube after leaving the forming station is initially moved into the region of the laser and is then stopped. Thereafter, the regions of the edges of the slot tube that are to be welded to one another are pre-treated by the laser. Thereafter, the power of the laser is set to the welding power thereof that corresponds to the welding temperature, and by switching on the drawing-off installation the slot tube is simultaneously moved in the longitudinal direction of the latter.
Abstract:
A method for producing a motor vehicle stabilizer, configured as a hollow tubular component, includes the steps of method steps of providing a steel strip made of a high-manganese-content steel alloy having TWIP and/or TRIP properties, forming a tubular profile from the steel strip, longitudinal seam welding of the tubular profile to form a tube, and bending the tube into the stabilizer rod.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing tubes, in particular for heat exchangers, composed of endless ribbons on a roller mill, wherein the tubes are composed of at least two ribbons which are subjected to a shaping process on the roller mill, wherein perforations or predetermined break points are introduced into the ribbons at predetermined locations, wherein a step of making the perforations in the ribbons is carried out, after which the ribbons are combined to form the tube and after which individual tubes are separated off at the predetermined locations. The formation of the perforations or the predetermined break points in at least one of the two ribbons is performed within or at the end of the shaping process of the corresponding ribbon so that some of the pairs of rollers do not require a drive.
Abstract:
Metallic tube, pipe and conduit are made in a continuous process that includes a zinc galvanization stage, a first passivation stage, a second passivation stage and a third passivation stage. A colorant is added to the tube, pipe or conduit during the continuous manufacturing process, and the colorant imparts the appearance of a color, such as red. The continuous movement of the tube, pipe or conduit is not halted during normal operation of the tube, pipe or conduit manufacturing and coloring process.
Abstract:
During manufacture of certain hollow profiles suitable for use in car body construction the welded profiles are subjected to a further deformation process, namely hydroforming. At present the corresponding welding machines are charged manually. The invention relates to a method and a device for transferring hollow-profile blanks, characterized in that during transfer the positioned fusion faces of the blanks are pressed against each other at least in the area of the weld.
