    摘要: A photorealistic paper has a paper substrate with a polymer print side layer applied to the print side thereof, the polymer selected from the group including polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester and blends thereof. A receptor layer is applied over the polymer print side layer, the receptor layer may adapt to accept printing by ink-jet printers and by laser printers. A polymer layer is provided on the back side. In one embodiment, the paper substrate is 8-10 mils. The print side layer includes over 50% LDPE and has a glass transition temperature of 5-30° C. and the receptor layer is adapted for laser printing. In another embodiment, the print side layer is polyester, and the back side layer is perforated.

    摘要: This patent describes an inkjet printable recording media that dries quickly to produce a waterfast, water-resistant and smudge-resistant print. The media is especially well-suited for the growing field of digital photography where a durable photo-like print is desired, and for high-speed commercial inkjet printing. The invention provides novel coatings, coated media, and methods of use. In particular, the coatings comprise a porous, water-absorbent base coating, a water-resistant ink-receptive coating comprised of nanoparticle-sized pigments, and, optionally, a glossy top coating. The novel coated media comprises an inkjet printable substrate having multiple coating layers, and provides high quality, waterfast images. When used on an inkjet printer, the coated media permits the ink to dry almost instantly to produce a waterfast, high gloss image.

The undercoating layer has a highly glossy resin property.     摘要: The invention relates to an imaging element comprising an imaging layer and a support, wherein the support comprises a base material having thereon at least two polyolefin layers, wherein the uppermost layer of the at least two polyolefin layers comprises a mixture of optical brighteners comprising a Compound A having the following formula: a Compound B having the following formula: and a Compound C having the following formula: wherein the layers below the uppermost layer of the at least two polyolefin layers comprise migratory optical brightener; and wherein the imaging layer is on the same side of the base material as the at least two polyolefin layers. The inventive support unexpectedly minimizes exudation of the brightener at the polyolefin surface and provides excellent absorption/emission characteristics, brightening power and heat to meet the critical requirements of the photographic field.
