Abstract:
An exemplary adhesive layer includes an adhesive main body having a first adhesive surface and a second adhesive surface on an opposite side of the adhesive main body to the first adhesive surface. The adhesive main body defines a number of through-holes between the first adhesive surface and the second adhesive surface therein. The through-holes are filled with an inner adhesive that has a higher adhesion than the adhesive main body. Adhesiveness of the first adhesive surface and the second adhesive surface of the adhesive main body can be improved, thereby preventing a printed circuit board having the adhesive layer from distortion.
Abstract:
A package closure device comprising a flexible single-layer element having three sections. A first section configured to adhere substantially permanently to a first location on the package. A second section, attached to the first section, configured to releasably and reattachably attach to a second location on the package so as to close an opening of the package. A third section, attached to the second section, and configured to permit a user to release the second section by applying a force to the third section. A kit of multiple package closure devices detachably connected in series so as to be formable in a roll, with perforations or other detachable connectors between the closure devices.
Abstract:
An adhesive element including at least one flexible support comprising an upper face and a lower face, and a first layer of a pressure-sensitive adhesive deposited on all or part of the lower face of the support and having a resistance to peeling greater than or equal to 2.6 N/cm according to the ASTM D3330 test method of the AAMA 711 standard at a temperature comprised between −30 and 23° C., and a second layer of a second pressure-sensitive adhesive deposited on said first layer and/or on all or part of the lower face of the support, the second pressure-sensitive adhesive of the second layer being different from the first adhesive and having a resistance to peeling greater than or equal to 2.6 N/cm according to the ASTM D3330 test method of the AAMA 711 standard at a temperature comprised between 0 and 70° C.
Abstract:
Herein are disclosed a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on a substrate, the adhesive layer containing stripes of first and second pressure-sensitive adhesives. The surface of the adhesive layer that faces the substrate is surface-enriched with the first pressure-sensitive adhesive. Methods of making are disclosed.
Abstract:
An adhesive packaging system, such as a tape or a string, and laminating methods are disclosed. The system comprises a core structure and an adhesive layer coated at least on one surface defined by the core structure. The adhesive layer comprises at least two different heat-activated adhesive materials in alternative sequences over the surface of the core structure, the heat-activated adhesive materials being activated at different temperatures. As the tapes are processed in the laminating machines, some of the adhesives will be heat activated with enough operating range that the tapes will have the proper adhesion to the substrate in any operating conditions, and some of the adhesives will set at the exit of the laminating machines also at any operating conditions of the laminating machines. Hence the tapes will have a much larger operating envelope under a very large range of operating conditions in the laminating machines.
Abstract:
A thermoplastic single ply protective roof covering may have two pressure sensitive rubber-based adhesive backings. These dual-adhesive backings may be used to provide for a non-heat welded seam having a combination of good seam strength and fire performance.
Abstract:
An alternating adhesive tape apparatus is described. The device is equipped with alternating sections or segments, an adhesive section and a non-adhesive section. An intermediary section, referred to as a cut-target section, is disposed within the non-adhesive sections. The cut-target section is configured to act as a guideline for cutting the tape for use by the user, and alerting the user of the location of the adhesive sections of the tape visibly. The cut-target sections, as non-adhesive sections of the apparatus, are preferably colored to indicate which portions are not equipped with adhesive, and provide a guide for cutting. The non-adhesive sections are configured to act as a tab or release-tab for the tape after the tape has been cut in or around the cut-target section, releasing the segment from the roll or strip containing the remainder of the adhesive tape apparatus.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a thermally conductive adhesive sheet that can be easily laminated on an electronic device without an adhesive layer therebetween and can further selectively dissipate heat in a particular direction to provide a sufficient temperature difference to the inside of the electronic device, a method for producing the same, and an electronic device using the same. The present invention includes a thermally conductive adhesive sheet comprising a high thermally conductive portion and a low thermally conductive portion, wherein the high thermally conductive portion and the low thermally conductive portion have adhesiveness, and the high thermally conductive portion and the low thermally conductive portion each independently constitute an entire thickness of the thermally conductive adhesive sheet, or at least either the high thermally conductive portion or the low thermally conductive portion constitutes a portion of a thickness of the thermally conductive adhesive sheet, and a method for producing the thermally conductive adhesive sheet, and an electronic device using the thermally conductive adhesive sheet.
Abstract:
A novel transparent double-sided adhesive sheet for image display device is provided, that, under the constraint of holding down the thickness of the adhesive sheet to 250 μm or less, can relieve a distortion arising within the adhesive sheet after laminating even if a member has a stepped portion of 50 μm to 100 μm in height on the laminating surface.Proposed is a transparent double-sided adhesive sheet for image display device which is used for the purpose of laminating an image display device constitutive member having on a laminating surface a stepped portion of 50 μm to 100 μm in height and a flat surface portion, and another image display device constitutive member, wherein a thickness of the maximum thickness portion of the adhesive sheet is 250 μm or less, and a gel fraction (a) at a position in contact with a stepped portion after laminating is 10% or greater and smaller than a gel fraction (b) at a position in contact with a flat surface portion.
