摘要: A high efficiency power amplifier of the present invention includes a transistor and an output power processing circuit section. The output power processing circuit section includes an output matching circuit section and an output harmonic processing circuit section. The output matching circuit section carries out impedance matching to the fundamental wave component of the output power. The output harmonic processing circuit section carries out a reactive power control to a reactive power of a plurality of harmonic power components respectively having a plurality of harmonic angular frequencies which are integral multiples of the base angular frequency of the output power. The output harmonic processing circuit section is formed to realize the reactive power control to at least one of the plurality of harmonic power components by orthogonalizing the phases of the current and voltage in the reactive power.

摘要: A wideband power amplifier module includes a plurality of switch mode amplifiers and a plurality of impedance amplifier modules. Each switch mode amplifier includes an input to receive an input signal, and an RF output to output an RF power signal. The switch mode amplifier includes at least one semiconductor switch formed from gallium nitride (GaN). Each impedance amplifier module includes an output electrically connected to the RF output of a respective switch mode amplifier. The impedance amplifier module is configured to inject at least one impedance control signal to each RF output.

摘要: A wide-band amplifier includes a band-pass filter made of an LC parallel resonant circuit and an LCR series resonant circuit. Both the LC parallel resonant circuit and the LCR series resonant circuit are connected in parallel to a current amplifier device. The band-pass filter has a plurality of poles as well as zeros provided therebetween in the s-plane, where some of the zeros are situated at locations other than the s-plane origing to improve a characteristic flatness in a passband. The output terminal of the amplifier device serves as an output terminal for the amplifier, so that the problem of group delay does not occur. A capacitance element between the output terminal of the amplifier and GND absorbs parasitic capacitance as part of constants to prevent degradation of the frequency characteristic.

摘要: Techniques for designing an efficient power amplifier are described. In one aspect, multiple single unit instance class-D power amplifiers with coupled outputs are utilized to increase efficiency and reduce quantization noise. In another aspect, multiple groups of single unit instance class-D power amplifiers are coupled at the outputs thereof with each group of power amplifiers configured to resonate at unique frequency. This results in increased efficiency and reduction of quantization noise at multiple frequencies bands.

摘要: A low noise amplifying (LNA) circuit comprising an amplifying section (11, 12) and a feedback means (14) arranged for providing input matching from the output to the input. The LNA circuit further comprises at least one frequency band determining inductor (15) having a predetermined resonance frequency for influencing at least one frequency band in which the amplifying section operates. The at least one inductor is directly connected to the output of the circuit and the feedback means (14) provides a feedback connection for the section (s) to the input. In this way, the at least one frequency band in which the amplifying section operates is substantially completely determined by the at least one frequency band determining inductor (15).

摘要: A radio frequency power amplifier module for a dual-band type mobile communication apparatus that can transmit and receive the first frequency f1 and the second frequency f2 (f2=2×f1) is structured as explained below. This radio frequency power amplifier module for dual-band type mobile communication apparatus is comprised of a drive stage amplifier having the gain peaks at f1 and f2 with a matching circuit and a radio frequency power output circuit including a radio frequency power output transistor. The output circuit is constituted of a transmission line connected to the drain end of the output transistor, a parallel resonance circuit connected in series to the transmission line to resonate at the harmonics in the frequency twice the frequency f2, a series resonance circuit provided between one end of the resonance circuit and the ground to resonate at the harmonics in the frequency twice the frequency f2 and an output matching circuit provided in series to the other end of the parallel resonance circuit for the matching with f1 and f2. The transmission line is set to terminate at the drain end for the even number order harmonics of f2 with the reactance existing at the drain end and a circuit element constant forming the parallel resonance circuit is set to open at the drain end for the odd number order harmonics of f2 with the series resonance circuit, transmission line and reactance existing at the drain end. With the structure explained above, since harmonics power can be controlled through control of the predetermined harmonics, high efficiency and reduction in size of the radio frequency power amplifier module can be realized.
