摘要: A method of micro-transfer printing comprises providing a component source wafer and components disposed in, on, or over the component source wafer. A destination substrate and a stamp for transferring the components from the component source wafer to the destination substrate is provided. The component source wafer has an attribute or structure that varies across the component source wafer that affects the structure, operation, appearance, or performance of the components. A first array of components is transferred from the component source wafer to the destination substrate with a first orientation. A second array of components is transferred from the component source wafer to the destination substrate with a second orientation different from the first orientation. Components can be transferred by micro-transfer printing and different orientations can be a different rotation, overlap, interlacing, or offset.

摘要: There is described a sheet-fed stamping press (10*) comprising a foil application unit (2*) designed to allow transfer or lamination of foil material onto successive sheets (S), which foil material is fed to the foil application unit (2*) in the form of a foil carrier (FC) supplied by means of a foil feeding system (3). The foil application unit (2*) comprises a stamping cylinder (21) with at least one circumferential stamping section (210) provided on a circumference of the stamping cylinder (21) and comprising successive stamping segments (211*; 211**) distributed one after the other about the circumference of the stamping cylinder (21), the stamping cylinder (21) also acting as sheet-transporting cylinder and comprising multiple sheet holding units (21a) distributed about the circumference of the stamping cylinder (21) and designed to hold successive sheets (S) against the circumference of the stamping cylinder (21). The foil application unit (2*) further comprises a plurality of counter-pressure units (25) distributed about a portion of the circumference of the stamping cylinder (21) and designed to press the successive sheets (S) and the foil carrier (FC) against an outer surface of the stamping segments (211*; 211**), the foil carrier (FC) being supplied by the foil feeding system (3) between the sheets (S) and the stamping segments (211*; 211**). Each counter-pressure unit (25) is designed as a cylinder unit (250, 255) provided with at least one circumferential pressing element (255) positioned to cooperate with the circumferential stamping section (210) of the stamping cylinder (21), and the counter-pressure units (25) are driven into rotation by means of at least one dedicated drive (26).

摘要: In a method of printing a transferable component, a stamp including an elastomeric post having three-dimensional relief features protruding from a surface thereof is pressed against a component on a donor substrate with a first pressure that is sufficient to mechanically deform the relief features and a region of the post between the relief features to contact the component over a first contact area. The stamp is retracted from the donor substrate such that the component is adhered to the stamp. The stamp including the component adhered thereto is pressed against a receiving substrate with a second pressure that is less than the first pressure to contact the component over a second contact area that is smaller than the first contact area. The stamp is then retracted from the receiving substrate to delaminate the component from the stamp and print the component onto the receiving substrate. Related apparatus and stamps are also discussed.

摘要: A module structure comprises a patterned substrate having a substrate surface and comprising a substrate post protruding from the substrate surface. A component is disposed on the substrate post. The component has a component top side and a component bottom side opposite the component top side. The component bottom side is disposed on the substrate post. The component extends over at least one edge of the substrate post. One or more component electrodes are disposed on the component.

摘要: Retransfer printing methods and systems are described where a variable stripping process is utilized while stripping all or a portion of the retransfer film (also known as intermediate transfer media) from the surface of a substrate. The variable stripping process includes stripping the retransfer film from different sections of the substrate surface while applying different tensions to the retransfer film and/or at different transport speeds of the retransfer film and the substrate.

摘要: Aspects are directed to printing a garment and include a method having steps of providing a fabric panel containing polyester, applying an ink layer to a first area of the fabric panel, curing the ink layer, and applying a sublimation dye to the first area and a different second area of the fabric panel. Application of the sublimation dye causes the first area and the second area to have different color saturations. Other aspects include a garment with a fabric panel containing polyester that has a first surface with a first area and a different second area. The garment also includes an ink layer on the first surface and located at the first area and a sublimation dye absorbed by a portion of the fabric panel at the second area and on a surface of the ink layer at the first area.

摘要: A transfer method is provided and includes a disposing step of disposing a transfer sheet and a medium in an inside of a sealed space formed by using a pressure welding sheet having flexibility in at least one part; a pressure welding step of suctioning the inside of the sealed space by a negative pressure and pressure welding the pressure welding sheet and the medium by the negative pressure to closely attach the transfer sheet and the medium; an irradiating step of softening an adhesive layer of the transfer sheet by irradiation of a light ray in a state in which the transfer sheet is closely attached to the medium by the pressure welding sheet and adhering the adhesive layer to the medium by a pressure welding force from the pressure welding sheet; and a peeling step of peeling off the transfer sheet from the medium after the irradiating step.
