The brake control unit determines whether a brake control signal is asserted when the brake control unit is connected to a vehicle power supply. If so, the brake control display is inverted. Alternatively, the brake control unit determines orientation by monitoring a position sensitive device. The brake control unit is also capable of determining and displaying the status of a brake load on the brake control display. In addition, the brake control unit is capable of determining and displaying an output voltage of the brake control unit on the brake control display.

    摘要: A control system for a vehicle provides for the control of electrically differentiated loads utilizing a local controller, the functionality of which depends upon a programmed central control unit. A first serial data link connects a plurality of autonomous local controllers of fixed functionality to the central control unit. A second serial data link links at least a first dependent controller to electrical system controller. The electrical system controller provides for controlling multiplexing of signals on the first and second serial data links. Memory provides both protected and nonprotected sections, with the protected sections providing storage for configuration data structures residing in memory and the data structures providing functional definitions for the first dependent controller. A core program resides in memory for use with the data structures, and a central processor executes the core program using the data structures for generating control signals for transmission to the dependent controllers. The first dependent controller are responsive to the control signals for assuming specialized control states.

    摘要: An electrical braking system for a motor vehicle has a controller which detects the actuation of a service-brake operator element, determines therefrom at least one driver's braking input for the brake control, and supplies this set point value to control units for controlling the wheel brakes. This controller also detects the actuation of a parking-brake operator element, determines therefrom a parking-brake input of the driver, and links this parking-brake input with the braking input for the service brake to form the total braking input. An electrical braking system for a motor vehicle includes at least one control unit which is allocated to at least one wheel brake. The controller controls an actuator for actuating the wheel brake on the basis of a setpoint value. The actuator has an electric motor and a locking device, in particular, a disengaging device. To actuate the wheel brake via the electric motor, the locking device is released. After the actuation has terminated, the locking device is again closed. A further controller for a different wheel brake is supplied with energy from a different energy-supply system. It activates an additional resetting possibility in the actuator in the event of a fault.

    摘要: A lift vehicle and a method for initializing a controller for controlling a lifting mechanism of lift vehicle. The controller controls the maximum forward tilt angle of a mast by controlling a solenoid of a hydraulic circuit. The controller employs a stored map or equation that defines a relationship between the forward tilt limit and another parameter. When the mast is tilted at two degrees, a CPU reads the detection value of a tilt angle sensor and sets it as a reference value. The reference value is used to calibrate the controller. The same function information can be used for many types of lift vehicles by selecting the appropriate control ranges for each vehicle.

Sensors are provided for measuring air pressure acting on an aircraft surface. The actual and comparative data provide information about the present flight conditions and performance of the aircraft, such as whether there is ice formed or forming on the wings, the direction and approach of wind shear, whether a stall is approaching, etc. The information can be evaluated by a computer, the aircraft's automatic flight control system (“AFCS”), or flight crew so that appropriate flight control measures can be taken.
