Abstract: Disclosed is a method of reducing a haze value in molding compositions including use of colorants selected from anthraquinone colorants, benzimidazolone colorants and perinone colorants. The molding compositions include at least one polyamide and at least one compound of the general formula (I) where x is 1, 2 or 3; R1 and R2 are mutually independently selected from hydrogen, linear C1-C7-alkyl, branched C3-C10-alkyl, unsubstituted or substituted C3-C12-cycloalkyl, unsubstituted or substituted C3-C12-cycloalkyl-C1-C4-alkyl, unsubstituted or substituted aryl and unsubstituted or substituted aryl-C1-C4-alkyl; and Z is selected from C3-C10-alkanediyl, unsubstituted or substituted arylene, unsubstituted or substituted arylene-C1-C4-alkylene-arylene, unsubstituted or substituted heteroarylene, unsubstituted or substituted heteroarylene-C1-C4-alkylene-heteroarylene, unsubstituted or substituted C5-C8-cyclo-alkylene, unsubstituted or substituted C5-C8-cycloalkylene-C1-C4-alkylene-C5-C8-cycloalkylene, unsubstituted or substituted heterocycloalkylene and unsubstituted or substituted heterocycloalkylene-C1-C4-alkylene-heterocycloalkylene.

Abstract: Described herein is a process for producing a zeolitic material having an MWW framework structure containing YO2 and B2O3, in which Y stands for a tetravalent element. The process includes the steps of (i) preparing a mixture containing one or more sources for YO2, one or more sources for B2O3, one or more organotemplates, and seed crystals, (ii) crystallizing the mixture obtained in (i) for obtaining a layered precursor of the MWW framework structure, and (iii) calcining the layered precursor obtained in (ii) for obtaining the zeolitic material having an MWW framework structure. Also disclosed herein are synthetic boron-containing zeolites obtain by the process and uses thereof.

Abstract: An apparatus (112) for heating a fluid is proposed. The apparatus (112) comprises at least one electrically conductive pipeline (120) for receiving the fluid at least one electrically conductive coil (110) at least one AC voltage source (114), which is connected to the coil (110) and is designed for an AC voltage to be applied to the coil (110). The coil (110) is designed for generating at least one electromagnetic field by applying the AC voltage. The pipeline (120) and the coil (110) are arranged in such a way that the electromagnetic field of the coil (110) induces in the pipeline (120) an electrical current, which warms up the pipeline (120) by Joulean heat, which is produced when the electrical current passes through conducting pipe material, for heating the fluid.

Abstract: Process for making a powder or granule containing (A) at least one chelating agent selected from alkali metal salts of methyl glycine diacetic acid (MGDA) and of glutamic acid diacetate (GLDA) and of iminodisuccinic acid (IDS), (B) at least one alkali metal salt of a C10-C20 fatty acid, in a weight ratio of (A):(B) of from 40:1 up to 1,000:1, wherein said powder or granule contains at least 75% by weight of chelating agent (A), said process comprising the steps of (c) mixing the at least one chelating agent (A) and the at least one alkali metal salt of fatty acid (B) in the presence of water, (d) removing most of said water by spray-drying or by spray granulation using a gas with an inlet temperature of at least 125° C.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for concentrating desired particles comprising a carrier-magnetic-separation comprising the following steps a) providing a feedstock which contains the desired particles and an undesired material; b) adding hydrophobic magnetic particles to the feedstock which results in a loaded feedstock containing agglomerates of the magnetic particles and the desired particles or of the magnetic particles and the undesired material; c) separating the agglomerates from the loaded feedstock by a separation method which results in isolated agglomerates, where the separation method is selected from sorting, electric separation, magnetic separation, screening, classification, gravity concentration, and flotation; d) breaking up the isolated agglomerates to obtain a suspension comprising the magnetic particles in desagglomerated form; and e) separating the magnetic particles from the suspension obtained in step d) by a separation method selected from sorting, electric separation, magnetic separation, screening, classification, gravity concentration, and flotation.
