摘要:
The present invention provides novel peptides derived from portions of the sequence of amino acids 23-26 and 27-30 of P-selectin. The invention also provides pharmaceutical compositions comprising the peptides of the invention, and diagnostic and therapeutic methods utilizing the peptides and pharmaceutical compositions of the invention. The peptides of this invention can be used in the modulation or inhibition of coagulation processes or inflammatory processes.

The present invention provides cross-linked protein compositions consisting of two or more units of a target-specific protein joined by binding sulfhydryl groups on the target-specific protein units to a sulfhydryl-selective cross-linking agent and a method of making the compositions. These cross-linked protein compositions combine an increase in binding affinity due to the presence of multiple identical binding sites and stability to reduction conditions.

This invention pertains to a method of imaging atherosclerotic plaque using radiolabeled monoclonal antibodies that are specific for activated platelets or activated endothelial cells. The method is capable of determining the site of endothelial injury. This method involves the administration of a platelet-specific labeled monoclonal antibody or antibody fragment to a patient. The antibody is allowed to accumulate at the plaque site and the plaque is then scanned with a photoscanner. The detected signals are then converted into an image of the plaque.

Isolated anti-tissue factor antibodies, immunoglobulins, cleavage products and other specified portions and variants thereof having enhanced ADCC activity, as well as anti-tissue factor antibody compositions, encoding or complementary nucleic acids, vectors, host cells, compositions, formulations, devices, transgenic animals, transgenic plants, and methods of making and using thereof. The antibodies of the invention bind human tissue factor and demonstrate enhanced ADCC activity. Accordingly, the antibodies can be used in a variety of methods for diagnosing, treating, and/or preventing diseases involving tissue factor, where enhanced ADCC activity is desirable such as cancer.

Methods of treating disorders related to CXCL13 activity utilize CXCL13 antagonists and, optionally, TNFα antagonists, such as antibodies, including specified portions or variants, polypeptides, polynucleotides, siRNA, shRNA, ribozymes, and DNAzymes. Disorders related to CXCL13 activity include inflammatory disorders, such as pulmonary disorders, for example, asthma, emphysema, and COPD, and systemic lupus erythematosus.
