Abstract: Provided are an electrodeposited copper foil, an electrode comprising the same, and a lithium-ion secondary battery comprising the same. The electrodeposited copper foil has a drum side and a deposited side opposing the drum side, wherein at least one of the drum side and the deposited side exhibits a void volume value (Vv) in the range of 0.17 μm3/μm2 to 1.17 μm3/μm2; and an absolute value of a difference between a maximum height (Sz) of the drum side and a Sz of the deposited side is in the range of less than 0.60 μm.

Abstract: Electrodeposited copper foils are described having improved thermal properties. The copper foils include a drum side and deposited side where both sides have a roughness Rz lower than 2 μm and wherein, when the electrodeposited copper foil is subjected to a thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), the electrodeposited copper foil exhibits a primary weight increase of 105 wt. % when a primary temperature (T105 wt %) is reached during the TGA, wherein the T105 wt % is in a range of 350° C. to 501° C. The TGA characterization comprises heating at a rate of 5° C./min and an air flow at a rate of 95 mL/min. Ultrasonic welding of the copper foils to nickel foils provides an excellent weld with low detachment providing a good mechanical and electrical contact for applications such as in lithium-ion secondary batteries.

Abstract: Surface-treated copper foils exhibiting a void volume (Vv) in a range of 0.4 to 2.2 μm3/μm2 and an arithmetic mean waviness (Wa) lower than or equal to 0.4 μm are reported. Where the surface-treated copper foil is treated on the drum side and includes a treatment layer comprising a nodule layer. Such surface-treated copper foils can be used as a conductive material having low transmission loss, for example in circuit boards.

Abstract: A preparation method of a polyurethane resin including the following steps is provided. A liquid polyamine compound is placed in a continuous reaction system, and the liquid polyamine compound is circulated in the continuous reaction system. A solid bis(cyclic carbonate) and a solid catalyst are placed in the continuous reaction system to mix the solid bis(cyclic carbonate), solid catalyst, and liquid polyamine compound to form a heterogeneous mixture. The heterogeneous mixture is heated in the continuous reaction system in a microwave manner, such that the heterogeneous mixture reacts to form a polyurethane resin.

Abstract: A method for purifying polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) includes: providing or receiving initial PBT, in which oligomers and tetrahydrofuran are present; dissolving the initial PBT in hexafluoroisopropanol (HFIP) to form a solution, in which the oligomers are also dissolved in the HFIP; and contacting the solution with compressed CO2 at a temperature and a pressure, thereby precipitating the purified PBT, resulting from a large portion of the oligomers are still dissolved in the HFIP, in the operation the temperature is in a range of 20° C. to 35° C., and the pressure is in a range of 900 psi to 1400 psi. A device for purifying PBT is also provided.
