    摘要: A method of manufacturing a multilayer material including a back metal and a metal plate made from a metal differing from the back metal is disclosed. The method includes heating powder of the metal formed into the metal plate in a reducing atmosphere so that an oxide on a surface of the metal powder is deoxidized, and spreading the deoxidized metal powder onto the back metal and irradiating laser beam having an energy density of 10 to 100 kW/cm2 onto the metal powder spread on the back metal so that the metal powder is partially heated to be melted, while the laser beam is moved relative to the spread metal powder, and quenching the melted part of the metal powder at an underside of the back metal so that the melted part is rapidly solidified, whereupon the multilayer material has a dendritic structure in which the metal plate extends substantially vertically from a surface of the back metal, and the dendritic structure has a crystal grain size equal to or smaller than 0.02 mm at a cut surface thereof parallel to a surface of the back metal and/or a dendritic arm spacing equal to or smaller than 0.02 mm at a cut surface thereof vertical to the surface of the back metal.

    摘要: In order to enhance the fatigue resistance and the anti-seizure property while maintaining the embeddability, there is provided a plain bearing comprising a bearing alloy layer, an intermediate layer and an overlay layer sequentially formed on the inner surface of a back metal. The inner surface of the bearing alloy layer is provided with a recess “a” and protrusions “b”, thereby being made into a textured uneven surface. The protrusion has the shape of a oblique square at 45° relating to the circumferential direction, so that when a foreign particle X introduced between sliding surfaces of a shaft and the plain bearing is moved in the circumferential direction in accordance with the rotation of the shaft, the foreign particle X runs against a side edge of the protrusion “b” and moves along the side edge, thereby the embedding of the foreign particle X is promoted. If the foreign particle fails to be adequately embedded, the foreign particle leaves the side edge again.

    摘要: A copper alloy sliding material which can bring about superior resistance to fatigue as well as good anti-seizure property without containing any Pb. The copper alloy sliding material is made to have the structure in which both of the hard copper alloy phase and the soft copper alloy phase coexist in a mixture state. On the surface of the sliding material, the soft copper alloy phase comes to have a shape more concave than that of the hard copper alloy phase when receiving a load or when being in a sliding wear relation, in which concave portions is retained lubricant with the result that the anti-seizure property is enhanced. Further, since the soft phase and the hard phase are made of the same copper alloy, the wettability thereof becomes good, and Ni and etc. contained in the hard copper alloy phase are diffused into the soft copper alloy phase, so that the hardness of the boundary portion defined between the phases come to be gradually varied. Thus, because of the unclear boundary, the load received in the hard phase comes to be spread in a wide range without being concentrated at the boundary, so that the fatigue strength is enhanced.

According to the sliding member 11, the friction force increases as the counterpart member 14 moves in the directions of arrows A and B from the middle.

    摘要: There is disclosed a half thrust bearing of a substantially semi-circular shape. A thrust relieve 22, slanting toward a confronting end of the half thrust bearing progressively away from a bearing surface of a half thrust bearing, is formed at each of circumferentially-spaced opposite end portions of the bearing surface by pressing (cold forging), so that those portions of the bearing surface, disposed adjacent respectively to the thrust relieves 22, are higher in strength than the other portions of the bearing surface. With this construction, even if a thrust collar of a crankshaft abuts against localized portions of the bearing surface disposed adjacent to the thrust relieves 22, a bearing alloy will not subjected to premature fatigue and separation.

    摘要: There are provided a plain bearing which is excellent in oil retaining property and wear-resistant property. The plain bearing has a number of fine grooves which are parallely formed with one another and extending in the circumferential direction on the inner surface of the bearing, the fine grooves comprising deep grooves and shallow grooves. When this bearing is used as a plain bearing, a large amount of lubricating oil can be retained in the deep grooves and the shallow grooves so that a plain bearing which is excellent in anti-seizure property and wear-resistant property can be obtained. Further, even if the shallow grooves will have been worn out by wear and tear during use of extended period of time, the anti-seizure property and the wear-resistant property can be stably maintained by the lubricating oil retained in the deep grooves.

    摘要: There is disclosed a bearing structure having an excellent fretting resistance. In the bearing structure in which a sliding bearing is mounted at its back face on a housing, and rotatably supports a rotation shaft at an inner face thereof, and a covering layer of an amorphous alloy is formed on at least one of the back face of the sliding bearing and an inner surface of the housing. Thanks to an excellent non-adhesion property of the amorphous alloy, adhesion is less liable to develop between the back face of the bearing and the housing even if a slight friction repeatedly occurs therebetween, thereby imparting an excellent fretting resistance to the bearing structure.
