A lubricant supplying device comprises a solid lubricant, a lubricant applicator to scrape and supply the lubricant to a target, and a pressing mechanism to press the solid lubricant against the lubricant applicator. An amount of pressure applied to the solid lubricant by the pressing mechanism increases until one of a thickness of the solid lubricant and a number of printed sheets reaches a prescribed level after the lubricant starts being consumed.

A semiconductor memory device includes a memory cell, a bit line, a source line, a source line driver, a sense amplifier, a counter, a detector, a controller. The sense amplifier reads the data by sensing current flowing through the bit line. The counter counts ON memory cells and/or OFF memory cells. The detector detects whether the voltage of the source line has exceeded a reference voltage. The controller controls the number of times of data sensing by the sense amplifier in accordance with the detection result in the detector, and controls a driving force of the source line driver in accordance with the count in the counter.

A panel cell for detecting anti-HNA antibody is disclosed. The panel cell is obtained by introducing a DNA coding for an HNA antigen corresponding to the anti-HNA antibody into a cell so as to enable the expression of the DNA under the condition for use in the detection procedure, wherein the cell for DNA introduction exhibits no detectable reaction with anti-HLA-ABC antibody, anti-HLA-DR antibody, anti-HLA-DQ antibody, anti-HLA-DP antibody, anti-HNA-1 antibody, anti-HNA-2a antibody, anti-HNA-3a antibody, anti-HNA-4 antibody, anti-HNA-5 antibody, and serum from normal subject, in the detection procedure. The panel cell allows accurate and rapid detection of granulocyte antibody.

A rotation control motor comprises a shaft, an armature having an armature core of which teeth are wound by wires to form coils, a commutator, and a field magnet. The armature core has a plurality of teeth, the commutator has a plurality of commutator segments corresponding to the number of teeth, and the coils comprise a normal coil and a brake coil. When the motor rotates faster than expected, the brake coil brakes the motor by magnetic flux, and the motor can rotate within a stable speed range.

An improved wheelbarrow is disclosed, comprising a wheel, a tray, a pair of handles, and a front guard, the improvement being in the handles and the front guard, in that each handle is provided with a roundish handlegrip including a first grip, round grip portion and second grip to facilitate an easier and safer forward dumping of load without switching handgrips, and in that the front guard facilitates a stabler forward dumping of load. The front guard may comprise at least one bar portion in parallel to the wheel axis or a curved plate. The front guard may alternatively comprise a pair of bar portions extending along the circumference of the wheel.

This invention relates to a process for producing .alpha., .beta.-unsaturated alcohol, which uses unsaturated aldehyde as a starting material, and in which only the aldehyde group in the unsaturated aldehyde is selectively hydrogenated by hydrogen transfer reaction, while the carbon-carbon double bond is left as it is. The method is characterized by using a catalyst which contains at least one oxide selected from the group consisting of oxides of yttrium, lanthanum, praseodymium, neodymium and samarium, as a main active ingredient. The catalysts exhibit high activity and selectivity, as well as a long life span.
