    摘要: The present invention relates to a method for an accelerated fermentation in a fermentation tank 2 with at least a tank cone 2a and a connection flange 4, in particular for beer production. The method comprises the steps: a) sucking in of fermentation fluid M1 from the tank 2 via a first circulation pipe 40 by means of a circulation pump 30; b) inducing of the drive fluid M1 that is now pumped by the circulation pump 30 via a second circulation pipe 50 in a mixing member 10 that is arranged within the tank cone 2a at a height L of 350 mm-1800 mm between the bottom edge of the connection flange 4 and the bottom edge of the mixing member 10; and c) generating of a jet directed upwards and exiting through an outlet opening 18 of the mixing member 10, so that the yeast cells stay for a longer time in suspension in the tank 2 by means of an in such a way improved convective current. The invention relates moreover to a corresponding device.

    摘要: A process for synthesising methanol comprises the steps of: (i) reforming a hydrocarbon feedstock and separating water to generate a make-up gas comprising hydrogen and carbon oxides, the make-up gas mixture having a stoichiometric number, R, R=([H2]−[CO2])/([CO2]+[CO]) of less than 2.0, (ii) combining the make up gas with an unreacted synthesis gas to form a synthesis gas mixture, (iii) passing the synthesis gas through a bed of methanol synthesis catalyst to generate a product stream, (iv) cooling the product stream to recover a crude methanol stream from the unreacted synthesis gas, (v) removing a portion of the unreacted synthesis gas as a purge gas, and (vi) feeding the remaining unreacted synthesis gas to step (ii), wherein hydrogen is recovered from a portion of the purge gas and the make up gas, and the recovered hydrogen is included in the synthesis gas mixture.

    摘要: The seeding of calcium carbonate into a calcium chloride-contaminated monoethylene glycol (MEG) stream accelerates the growth of calcium carbonate particles to a size that enhances their removal from the stream by filtration. A seeding vessel allows the calcium carbonate particles a time period to grow. Sodium carbonate may be added to the contaminated stream to facilitate calcium carbonate particle growth. A recycle seeding conduit may recycle seeds from a filtration unit to the seeding vessel. A base such as sodium hydroxide may be added to accelerate the precipitation process.

The method of optical resolution is highly suitable for general purposes. By the method, a mixture of optical isomers of any of various alcohols can be optically resolved easily and industrially advantageously.
