摘要: A method of controlling hazardous particulate material during the demolition of buildings containing such material in the form of a friable layer of paint applied to the surfaces thereof. The method includes coating the friable layer with a water-based, pressure-sensitive adhesive which penetrates into the friable layer and bonds with the hazardous material contained therein forming a substantially homogeneous mass which is non-friable. Subsequently, the building is demolished without removing the hazardous material, and the remains of the building are disposed of in any conventional landfill not restricted to hazardous material disposal.

摘要: A method and apparatus for processing a substrate utilizing a rotating substrate support are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, an apparatus for processing a substrate includes a chamber having a substrate support assembly disposed within the chamber. The substrate support assembly includes a substrate support having a support surface and a heater disposed beneath the support surface. A shaft is coupled to the substrate support and a motor is coupled to the shaft through a rotor to provide rotary movement to the substrate support. A seal block is disposed around the rotor and forms a seal therewith. The seal block has at least one seal and at least one channel disposed along the interface between the seal block and the shaft. A port is coupled to each channel for connecting to a pump. A lift mechanism is coupled to the shaft for raising and lowering the substrate support.

摘要: A collectible trading card assembly (10) includes a container (12) and a featured trading card (432). The featured trading card (432) includes a first image (436) and a second image (438). The container (12) includes a container body (16), a viewing region (20) and a retainer assembly (444). The retainer assembly (444) maintains the featured trading card (432) near the viewing region (20) within the container body (16) so that the first image (436) is visible through the viewing region (20) and the second image (438) is not visible through the viewing region (20). With this design, a portion of the featured trading card (432) is visible while another portion is still a secret.

摘要: The present invention provides a dielectric optical fiber cable which is capable of being remotely detected while buried. Specifically, this invention incorporates a detectable and easily removable locating element which is attached to the optical fiber cable by a web defined by the jacket extending over both the optical fiber cable and the locating element. The web allows for the locating strand to be easily removed once separation of the locating element from the optical fiber cable is initiated. The web is designed to allow the initial tear to propagate into a precise longitudinal tear along a predetermined length of the optical fiber cable.
