摘要:
A high throughput screening method. At least one liquid sample is provided that includes an analyte that directly or indirectly produces a detectable characteristic in one or more first assays. A plurality of through holes is filled with portions of the liquid sample in a testing assembly that has a pair of opposing surfaces, each through hole extending from one of the opposing surfaces to the other of the opposing surfaces, with the through holes arranged in group. Surface tension holds the respective portions in the respective plurality of through holes. A detection is made of which of the through holes contains a liquid sample portion that includes said analyte. The detectable characteristic may be produced in various assays such as an absorbance transcription assay, a fluorescent transcription assay, a fluorescent secreted enzyme assay, or a microorganism screening assay.
摘要:
Cells producing mutant phytases having modified activity are provided, as well as the phytases so produced. Also provided are methods of making and producing such phytases and the use of the expressed phytase protein in feed as a supplement.
摘要:
The present invention provides beta-lactamase CD4+ T-cell epitopes, as well as novel variants that exhibit reduced immunogenic responses, as compared to the parental beta-lactamase. The present invention further provides DNA molecules that encode novel beta-lactamase variants, host cells comprising DNA encoding novel beta-lactamase variants, as well as methods for making beta-lactamases less immunogenic. In addition, the present invention provides various compositions that comprise these beta-lactamase variants that are less immunogenic than wild-type beta-lactamases.
摘要:
The present invention provides methods for directing the evolution of microorganisms comprising the use of mutator genes and growth under conditions of selective pressure. The method discloses mutator genes which can be used in the methods of the present invention and provides ATCC deposits which exemplify the evolved microorganisms produced by the methods.
