The method includes generating simultaneous outbound invitation calls to multiple invitees and transmitting a message to each invitee, inviting him or her to become a teleforum participant. Teleforum participants who accept the invitation are connected to the teleforum in a listen-only mode. During the teleforum, a teleforum participant may request active participation in the teleforum. The method also includes allowing the participant to actively participate in the teleforum. Active participation may include but is not limited to such activities as: speaking to the teleforum, asking a question, responding to a poll, making a donation, providing information, leaving a message, being transferred to a subconference, receiving feedback from participants, leaving a voicemail, volunteering for future activities or receiving media transmitted outside of the teleforum.

A modular semiconductor substrate cleaning system is provided that processes vertically oriented semiconductor substrates. The system features a plurality of cleaning modules that may include a megasonic tank-type cleaner followed by a scrubber. An input module may receive a horizontally oriented substrate and rotate the substrate to a vertical orientation, and an output module may receive a vertically oriented substrate and rotate the substrate to a horizontal orientation. Each of the modules (input, cleaning and output) has a substrate support and may be positioned such that the substrate supports of adjacent modules are equally spaced. The modules are coupled by an overhead transfer mechanism having a plurality of substrate handlers spaced the same distance (X) as the substrate supports of the modules therebelow. The transfer mechanism indexes forward and backward the distance X to simultaneously transport semiconductor substrates through the cleaning system, lifting and lowering substrates from the desired modules wafer rotation/orientation sensors, an input module cart for transporting wafers between a substrate handler of a previous tool (such as a semiconductor substrate polisher) and a substrate handler of the cleaning system are also included.

A method of cleaning fragile structures having a dimension less than 0.15 um with a cleaning solution formed of a solvent having a surface tension less than water while applying acoustic energy to the substrate on which the structures are formed is described. Also, a method of cleaning copper with several different cleaning solutions, and in particular an aqueous sulfuric acid and HF cleaning solution, is described. Also, methods of cleaning both sides of a substrate at the same time with different cleaning solutions applied to the top and the bottom are described.

A self-expanding tubular stent comprises a plurality of stent segments. Each stent segment is formed of an elongate ribbon having portions cut therefrom to form a wave-like undulating pattern, opposed edges of which are attached to one another so as to form a generally cylindrical configuration. A disclosed method effects formation of such an expandable tubular stent by first providing an elongate flat ribbon of biocompatible stent material and selectively removing portions of such material to form an undulating wave-like pattern along the length of the ribbon. The ribbon is then coiled into a generally cylindrical configuration and opposed ends of the ribbon are secured to one another to form a generally cylindrical and expandable spiral stent section. After forming a plurality of such stent sections, the stent sections are arranged in longitudinal succession and interconnected so as to form an elongated stent configuration.

Apparatus for monitoring and displaying the status of a local area network. The network includes a hub with ports for connection to various data terminal equipment in a star configuration and for connection to other hubs of the network. The hubs each have different types of plug-in modules which have ports for connecting the hub to different types of network cable such as fiber optic cable, unshielded twisted pair cable and shielded twisted pair cable. Information is automatically provided to a control console identifying the types of modules and the location of the modules in the hub so that an image of the actual hub can be displayed on the screen of the control console. The actual hub image shows the location and types of modules installed in the hub. In addition, information regarding the connection of each of the hubs to other hubs of the network is obtained and provided to the control console. The information is processed so as to automatically produce a topology map on the control console display showing the overall topology of the network.
