    摘要: This invention relates to a process for the production of solid polyamines stabilized by a polyadduct covering and showing retarded reactivity comprising reacting(1) one or more solid organic polyamines in particulate form, said polyamines containing at least two primary and/or secondary amino groups and having melting points above 50.degree. C., and(2) from 0.1 to 25 equivalent % of isocyanate per amine equivalent of a water insoluble, difunctional and/or higher functional polyisocyanate,said reaction being conducted at a temperature below the melting point of said solid polyamine, and being conducted in the presence of(3) a liquid medium selected from the group consisting of(a) organic compounds containing two or more hydroxy groups and having molecular weights of from 62 to 10,000,(b) plasticizers,(c) water, and(d) mixtures thereofto form a suspension of polyadduct-covered stabilized polyamines in the liquid medium.

    摘要: Urethane-modified polyisocyanate compositions are made by reacting (a) an organic polyisocyanate or mixture of polyisocyanates having an NCO-content of from 5 to 45 wt % with (b) a hydantoin having an OH number of from 56 to 596 and containing two alcoholic hydroxyl groups. These reactants are used in quantities such that the NCO:OH equivalent ratio is from 2:1 to 50:1. The preferred polyisocyanates are 4,4'-diisocyanatodiphenylmethane and isomer mixtures thereof. The most preferred hydantoin is 5,5-dimethyl hydantoin. These urethane-modified polyisocyanates are particularly useful in the production of polyisocyanate addition products such as polyurethanes and polyisocyanurates.

    摘要: Homogeneous storage stable solutions of cyanamide in a polyol are made by dehydrating a mixture of an aqueous cyanamide solution and at least one polyol under mild conditions. The aqueous cyanamide solution contains from 10 to 55 wt % cyanamide. The polyol may have a molecular weight of from 62 to 12,000. Polyether and/or polyester polyols having molecular weights from 400 to 12,000 are preferred. Mixtures of high and low molecular weight polyols which are not completely miscible with each other are also preferred. The dehydration is generally carried out at pressures less than 100 mbar and temperatures less than 130.degree. C. The product solution has a cyanamide content of from 0.1 to 50 wt % and a residual water content which is generally no greater than 1 wt %. These homogeneous and storage stable cyanamide in polyol solutions are particularly useful in the production of polyurethanes.

    摘要: Polyisocyanates are produced by phosgenating a primary polyamine in the presence of at least one compound containing at least one primary and/or secondary alcoholic hydroxyl group in accordance with techniques known in the art. The reactants are used in quantities such that the equivalent ratio of primary amino groups to alcoholic hydroxyl group of from 1:0.005 to 1:0.99 is maintained during the phosgenation reaction. Where phosgenation is carried out in a two-stage process, the compound containing alcoholic hydroxyl groups must at least be present in the required quantity during the second stage. The primary polyamine may optionally be converted into a phosgenatable salt or a carbon dioxide adduct prior to being phosgenated to form the polyisocyanate. The polyisocyanates thus-produced may then be used in the production of polyurethanes or polyamines.

    摘要: A compound having a terminal isocyanate group is hydrolyzed to produce a polyamine having a urethane and/or a urea and/or a biuret group. More particularly, a carbamate is made by mixing an isocyanate prepolymer having urethane and/or urea and/or biuret groups present with aqueous base solutions at a temperature of from 0.degree. to 0.degree. C. and in quantities such that the equivalent ratio of hydroxyl to isocyanate groups is between from 0,3:1 to .gtoreq.1,01 to 1. The carbamate is then treated with an acid ion exchanger to form an amine. The amine is then removed from any other material which may be present. A preferred polyamine thus-produced corresponds to the general formula: ##STR1## in which each R radical may represent a divalent straight or branched- chain aliphatic radical; a divalent cycloaliphatic radical; a 4,4'- and/or a 2,4'-dicyclohexylmethane radical; or a 2,4- and/or 2,6-methyl cyclohexane radical. Such an amine may be reacted with a polyisocyanate and optionally with other known additives to form a polyurethane plastic or foam.

    摘要: Molded polyurethane articles are made by reacting polyisocyanates with polyol compositions obtained by chemical decomposition of polyurethane and/or polyurea waste in a mold. The polyol compositions employed in this invention have an OH value of from about 100 to about 500 mg KOH/g, a water content of from 0 to about 5 wt. % and a viscosity at 20.degree. C. of more than 2,000 mPa.s. These molded polyurethane articles preferably have a sandwich structure in which the core is a polyurethane and there is at least one outer layer made from an optionally fiber-reinforced plastic material. These molded polyurethane articles are useful in the motor vehicle, furniture, machine and equipment manufacturing industries.
