摘要: A vibration-type angular velocity sensor realizing a suitably vibrating state of the vibrators by canceling the displacement of the vibrators caused by the gravity. The angular velocity sensor comprises base portions, vibrators coupled to the base portions, exciting means for driving and vibrating the vibrators in the x-direction, and detection means which, when an angular velocity is applied while the vibrators are being driven and vibrated, detects the angular velocity based on the vibrations of the vibrators in the y-direction at right angles with the x-direction, the angular velocity sensor further comprising position adjusting means for so adjusting the positions of the vibrators as to cancel the amount of displacement by which the vibrators are displaced by the gravity in the direction of the gravity.

摘要: A method for enhancing efficacy of a monoclonal antibody preparation is provided wherein antigens from patients are tested for their reactivity with said antibody. In accordance with the method of the invention, an amino acid sequence of an expressed protein is deduced from a nucleotide sequence determined by isolation and analysis of a target molecule gene in biopsy from patients and is compared with the previously determined amino acid sequence recognized by said monoclonal antibody preparation to thereby assess fitness of patients for administration of said monoclonal antibody preparation.

摘要: An oscillatory angular rate sensor unit includes a mount base and a sensor element installed on the mount base. The sensor element includes an oscillator which produces angular velocity-caused oscillations in a first direction when the sensor element experiences angular motion during self-excited oscillation of the oscillator in a second direction opposite the first direction. A resonant frequency of the sensor unit in the first direction is set to a value less than or equal to a reciprocal of square root of two times a difference between resonant frequencies of the oscillator in the first and second directions, thereby eliminating an error output caused by undesirable acceleration acting on the sensor unit.

摘要: When a converter 14 is rotated via a rotation mechanism 17, the arrangement inclination angle of two primary radiators 15a and 16b can be adjusted in the range of 0 to 20 deg. with respect to an axis which is in parallel with the ground. Also the reception polarization angle due to probes of the primary radiators 15a and 15b can be adjusted in the range of 0 to 20 deg. while maintaining a preset difference in polarization angle among the satellites. Therefore, the arrangement inclination angle of the primary radiators 15a and 16b for respectively receiving signals from the two satellites, and the reception polarization angle in the primary radiators 15a and 15b can be simultaneously easily adjusted by rotating the converter 14 via the rotation mechanism 17.

摘要: A compact angular velocity sensor, which can improve an S/N (signal/noise) ratio. An angular velocity sensor includes an SOI substrate, four oscillatory masses movably supported to the SOI substrate, and four detection electrodes provided outer side of the oscillatory masses for detecting displacements of the oscillatory masses. The oscillatory masses are arranged point-symmetry with respect to a predetermined point K in a flat plane parallel to the SOI substrate. Each of the four oscillatory masses adjacent each other is oscillated in reverse phase in a circumstantial direction about the predetermined point K along the flat plane. When an angular velocity &OHgr; is generated about the predetermined point K, detection weights of the oscillatory masses are displaced along a direction perpendicular to oscillation direction in the flat plane. Capacitance changes between the detection weights and the detection electrodes are processed in a circuit portion so as to output angular velocity detection signal S1 due to Corioli's force with canceling external acceleration and centrifugal force acted to the detection weights of the oscillatory masses.

摘要: A process for preparing a lactate which includes: (a) preparing lactonitrile from prussic acid and acetaldehyde, (b) hydrating the lactonitrile to form lactamide, (c) forming the desired lactate and formamide from lactamide and formate (or methanol and carbon monoxide), (d) separating and collecting components, having a lower boiling point than that of lactate from the reaction liquid in step (c), by distillation under specified conditions, and (e) dehydrating formamide from step (d) to form prussic acid and recycling the prussic acid to step (a). Heretofore, lactates had been manufactured by forming lactonitrile (cyanohydrin) from acetaldehyde and prussic acid, and then esterifying lactonitrile with a mineral acid or the like. However, in this conventional process, ammonium salts were formed as by-products in an amount equal to that of the lactate. According to the present invention, a lactate can be efficiently manufactured on a commercial scale without forming a large amount of the ammonium salts as by-products. In particular, the yield of the lactate can be increased by controlling the formation of 2-formyloxy propionate and also a dimer of a lactate.

摘要: There is disclosed a process for producing .alpha.-hydroxyisobutyramide by hydration reaction of acetone cyanohydrin in the presence of a catalyst consisting essentially of manganese dioxide which process comprises pretreating the catalyst with a reducing agent. The above process is capable of eliminating the catalyst clogging trouble due to the deposition of the by-produced oxamide and thus proceeding with long-term reaction with the stabilized catalyst performance.

摘要: There is disclosed a process for efficiently producing methyl .alpha.-hydroxyisobutyrate from .alpha.-hydroxyisobutyramide and methyl formate by means of reaction distillation which comprises feeding .alpha.-hydroxyisobutyramide and an alkali metal hydroxide in a continuous distillation column to prepare therein the dehydrated condensate of .alpha.-hydroxyisobutyramide with the alkali metal hydroxide as the catalyst and reacting remaining .alpha.-hydroxyisobutyramide with methyl formate in the presence of the dehydrated condensate as the catalyst.According to the above process, the objective methyl .alpha.-hydroxyisobutyrate is continuously obtained in high yield and high selectivity without any operational trouble.
