    摘要: A cathodic electrodeposition paint containing a cationically modified epoxy resin and a crosslinker dispersed in an acidic aqueous medium is disclosed which contains an auxiliary resin component which is capable of improving the surface smoothness of the cured paint films and which is a reaction product produced by reacting a t-alkylphenol novolac epoxy resin with an amount of an active hydrogen compound sufficient to open all epoxy rings. When the thus produced auxiliary resin has a hydroxyl group, reaction thereof with a lactone or alkylene oxide, to graft a soft segment to the auxiliary resin improves not only the surface smoothness but also the impact strength of the paint films.

    摘要: Diglycidyl ether epoxy resins are reacted with a prepolymer produced from an organic diisocyanate and a bifunctional active hydrogen compound having a soft segment whose terminal isocyanate groups have been blocked to chain-extend the epoxy resin with the prepolymer. The chain-extended epoxy resin is then reacted with a cationic active hydrogen compound alone or incombination with an aliphatic monoalcohol, alkylphenol, glycol monoether or bisphenol to open the terminal epoxy rings of the chain extended epoxy resin. The modified epoxy resin thus produced is dispersed in an aqueous medium containing a neutralizing agent together with a crosslinker to give a cathodic electrodeposition paint having improved impact strength and other properties.

Among the light beams, perpendicularly incident light beams not subjected to refraction can be projected toward the bright-dark boundary line while obliquely incident light beams that are subjected to refraction can be corrected to be directed in a lower angular direction than the bright-dark boundary line and to be mixed with the other light beams, thereby preventing color shading of illumination light from the vehicle light.

    摘要: Disclosed is a three coat one bake coating process for forming an intermediate coated film, a base coated film and a clear coated film on an electrodeposition coated film. The electrodeposition coating composition is a lead-free cationic electrodeposition coating composition which has a volatile organic content of 1% by weight or less, a metal ion content of 500 ppm or less, a neutralizing acid amount of 10 to 30 mg equivalent based on 100 g of binder resin solid content. The intermediate coating composition and/or the base coated composition comprises a specific amount of a nonaqueous dispersion resin as a resin component. In the coating process, a baking step is omitted from the conventional intermediate coating process, or from the conventional base coating process.
