Abstract:
A lancet device including a housing and a lancet structure having a puncturing tip maintained within an interior cavity of the housing. The device incorporates a bow spring which cooperates with the lancet structure within the housing, and a trigger which extends laterally through and into the housing. The bow spring is resistive to movement, and therefore maintains the puncturing tip in a retracted position within the housing. Lateral movement of the trigger into the housing, such as through a pivoting trigger operation, biases the bow spring against this resistive to deflect the bow spring and extend the puncturing tip through the forward end of the housing to achieve a puncturing position.
Abstract:
An electrical connector for an electrical connection is disclosed, comprising a female receptacle to connect to either a male shorting cap or a male plug. The male plug and female receptacle can be fastened to a standard knockout in a light fixture. The male plug and female receptacle have alignment means such that they can only fit together one way, and once together are positively connected by means of a twist-lock ring. The male plug is connected to the female receptacle by aligning the two fins to the two corresponding grooves, and pushing inward such that the protrusions of the female receptacle pass through the indentations in the ring of the male plug. The twist-lock ring is turned and the nubs on the protrusions engage the notches of the female receptacle, creating a removable twist-lock ring.
Abstract:
Provided is a processor with a data transfer structure that is excellent in performance and efficiency. According to an aspect, the processor may include a plurality of processing elements, a plurality of routers respectively connected to the processing elements, and a plurality of connection links formed between the routers such that data is transferred between the processors via a network.
Abstract:
Dry powder inhalers include: (a) a first generally planar spiral travel path in an inhaler body, wherein the first spiral travel path has a plurality of adjacent curvilinear channels forming lanes with upstanding sidewalls, including an inner lane and an outer lane; and (b) a plurality of discrete sealed microcartridges with substantially rigid bodies disposed in the first travel path, each comprising a pre-metered (typically dose) amount of dry powder, the microcartridges being configured to slidably advance along the first travel path toward an inhalation chamber that merges into an inhalation output port. In operation, at least one microcartridge is held in the inhalation chamber to release the dry powder therein during inhalation.
Abstract:
A multiprocessor computer system comprises a folded butterfly processor interconnect network, the folded butterfly interconnect network comprising a traditional butterfly interconnect network derived from a butterfly network by flattening routers in each row into a single router for each row, and eliminating channels entirely local to the single row.
Abstract:
Techniques for forming a contact to a buried diffusion layer in a semiconductor memory device are disclosed. In one particular exemplary embodiment, the techniques may be realized as a semiconductor memory device. The semiconductor memory device may comprise a substrate comprising an upper layer. The semiconductor memory device may also comprise an array of dummy pillars formed on the upper layer of the substrate and arranged in rows and columns. Each of the dummy pillars may extend upward from the upper layer and have a bottom contact that is electrically connected with the upper layer of the substrate. The semiconductor memory device may also comprise an array of active pillars formed on the upper layer of the substrate and arranged in rows and columns. Each of the active pillars may extend upward from the upper layer and have an active first region, an active second region, and an active third region. Each of the active pillars may also be electrically connected with the upper layer of the substrate.
Abstract:
A method for providing a channel service is disclosed. In accordance with the present invention, a fixed information including a BUMF information, an SF information and a playlist information and a variable information including a clip information associated with a streaming data of a selected channel service are transmitted to a playback apparatus supporting a BD-J specification, thereby enabling a Blu-ray player incapable of playing the streaming data to provide viewers with the streaming data of the channel service.
Abstract:
A portable infant carrier for holding or cradling an infant is provided, which includes a back board, elevated borders, an infant-holding strap or belt and buckles, and a three-way holding pockets. The elevated borders surround a portion of the top surface of the back board so as to form a portable carrier with the back board and the elevated borders. The infant-holding strap is configured to hold the infant in place in the portable carrier. The three-way holding pockets disposed on the bottom or back surface of the back board is configured to add more surface contacting area to hands of the persons holding the infant so as to hold the infant more safely and easily. The three-way holding pockets are configured to insert hands of the persons to hold the portable carrier, and the three-way holding pockets are configured to hand over the portable carrier from one to the other.
Abstract:
A method for providing a data application in a media reproduction apparatus of an automobile is disclosed. In accordance with the method for providing the data application in the media reproduction apparatus of the automobile, an additional data application associated with a base data application is dynamically received according to a communication status and the additional data application is executed on a scene-by-scene basis.
Abstract:
A method for creating a viable on-line leads marketplace is described whereby an internet-based CRM application is used for gathering metrics on leads which can then be used by potential buyers to objectively evaluate the quality of the leads before bidding on their purchase.
