    摘要: An inflatable optical housing is adapted to provide a visual image and be used in connection with a separate computing device. The housing is sized by one or more bladders and at least one associated alignment member. Optical elements of the device provide an image of a display and/or an enhanced magnified image via lensing. The housing preferably is constructed of lightweight materials and is adapted for rapid inflation and deflation through a variety of mechanisms and with a variety of media. Embodiments of the invention are especially advantageous with wearable computing devices and methods.

    摘要: A safety system for an autonomous electronic vehicle having a body and a platform. The safety system includes at least one mechanical connection unit and a safety control module. The mechanical connection unit connects the body to the platform, and is transitionable between a first state, in which the body is attached to the platform at the mechanical connection unit, and a second state, in which the body is released from the platform at the mechanical connection unit. The safety control module is programmed to prompt the mechanical connection unit to transition from the first state to the second state under circumstances of an imminent collision event. In some embodiments, the safety control module is programmed to determine a safety path for passengers within the body and/or others in the collision zone based on conditions surrounding the vehicle.

    摘要: A mobile communication device configured to be worn on an index finger of a user's hand. The device includes a case, a microphone, a switch, and a power source. The microphone and the switch are strategically located along a shape of the case so that as worn on the user's index finger and when the switch is activated by the thumb of the user's hand, the hand naturally cups about the microphone to form a barrier to ambient noise. Further, the microphone can readily be located near a corner of the user's mouth for optimal speech-receiving conditions and to provide more private audio input.

    摘要: A portable user interface device for performing wireless communications. The device includes a case, a display screen, a speaker, a microphone, a sensor, and a computer. The computer is disposed behind the display screen to define a display side, and the sensor is located adjacent the display side. The computer is programmed to control operation of the display screen and to operate a wireless form-filling module, a wireless data transfer module, and an application module. The form-filling module is of a type adapted to promote source data-type interface with a client server servicing the user interface device and limited data transfer capacity. The data transfer module includes a wireless transceiver and is adapted to communicate with a data transfer service on a non-priority, limited size basis. The application module performs a designated operation via the form-filling module and the data transfer module, displaying indicia immediately adjacent the sensor.
