    摘要: A free magnetic layer is a laminated body of a Co2MnZ alloy layer (Z is one or more elements selected from a group consisting of Al, Sn, In, Sb, Ga, Si, Ge, Pb, and Zn) and a CoaFe100-a alloy layer. The CoaFe100-a alloy layer has a composition ratio 76≦a≦100 or a face-centered cubic (fcc) structure, in which an equivalent crystal face expressed as a {111} plane is preferentially oriented in a direction parallel to a film surface, and the CoaFe100-a alloy layer is in contact with the nonmagnetic material layer.

    摘要: When a pinned magnetic layer includes an underlayer and a Heusler alloy layer, a product ΔR×A of the amount of change in resistance and an element surface area of a magnetic sensor per unit area is increased. That is, a magnetic field detection sensitivity of the magnetic sensor can be improved. It is believed that the magnetic field detection sensitivity of the magnetic sensor is improved by the present invention because a misfit percentage between the underlayer and the Heusler alloy layer is small, and therefore the crystallinity or the periodicity of the Heusler alloy layer is improved.

    摘要: At both sides of an element portion, a first hard bias layer having a higher residual magnetization Mr and a second hard bias layer having a higher coercive force Hc are deposited in that order from the bottom with one end of the first hard bias layer being closed close to a free magnetic layer. A film thickness ratio of the first hard bias layer in a whole hard bias layer is from 35% to 75%. This stabilizes magnetization in the free magnetic layer to reduce asymmetry, thus enabling improvement in stability of reproducing characteristics including noise suppression.

    摘要: A sensor substrate includes a plurality of piezoresistance elements. The electrical resistance of each piezoresistance element changes in accordance with an amount of displacement of a displacement portion displaced by an external load applied through a pressure receiving unit. A base substrate supports the sensor substrate. The sensor substrate and the base substrate each include a support supporting the displacement portion such that the displacement portion can be displaced and a plurality of electrically connecting portions electrically connected to the plurality of piezoresistance elements. The supports of the sensor and base substrates are joined to each other and the plurality of electrically connecting portions of the sensor and base substrates are joined to each other. Furthermore, in each of the sensor and base substrates, either the support or the plurality of electrically connecting portions or both extend to the periphery of the sensor substrate or the base substrate.
