摘要: The treatment of terminals of cables in producing electrical harnesses is effected by cutting a shield ribbon cable into two portions, making shallow cuts on the sheath of each portion, pulling the two cable portions in opposite directions so as to separate their sheath portions from the respective cuts with the uncovered terminals of the cable portions remaining in the sheath portions, and cutting the uncovered terminals outside the respective sheath portions so as to align the cut ends thereof.

摘要: Herein disclosed is a loop type continuous metal casting machine in which two side dams are revolved in a loop passing along a casting zone from the entrance end thereof between upper and lower endless revolving casting belts to define a downhill moving mold and in which each of the side dams is formed of a multiplicity of metal dam blocks so strung onto a flexible metal strap loop that the metal dam blocks abut in end-to-end relationship against one another but are allowed to slide on and relative to the metal strap loop. Push means is disposed near the entrance end of the casting zone and is reciprocated back and forth in synchronism with the passage of each side dam for periodically entering the wedge-shaped gap, which is formed between the adjacent two of the metal damblocks of the corresponding side dam loop before entry into the casting zone, to push the preceding one of the adjacent two forward thereby to tightly press the preceding damblocks together so that the end-to-end abutting relationships of the damblocks may be ensured while the side dam loops are passing through the casting zone. Thus, molten metal can be continuously cast in the moving mold without burrs.

摘要: A process for continuously casting thin slabs, which comprises the steps of pouring a molten metal from a large-sized tundish through a sliding nozzle into a small-sized tundish, over-flowing the molten metal from the small-sized tundish to pour the molten metal into a continuous casting machine of the twin-belt type is disclosed. According to the process, a pouring rate into the small-sized tundish is calculated prior to overflow on the basis of a change in weight of the small-sized tundish and the degree of opening of the sliding nozzle is adjusted so as to make the calculated pouring rate come close to the target pouring rate into the small-sized tundish or into the casting machine.

摘要: In a heat pump apparatus, switching between high efficiency operation, and high capacity operation, is performed according to the state of the load. A main refrigerant circuit uses an ejector. A first sub-refrigerant circuit connects a portion between a heat exchanger and an ejector to a portion between a gas-liquid separator and a heat exchanger A second sub-refrigerant circuit connects a portion between the heat exchanger and the ejector to an injection pipe of a compressor. When the load is medium, refrigerant is circulated in the main refrigerant circuit to perform an efficient ejector aided operation. When the load is large, a high capacity injection operation is performed by flowing refrigerant to the second sub-refrigerant circuit. When the load is small, a simple bypass operation prevents degradation of efficiency by flowing refrigerant to the first sub-refrigerant circuit.

摘要: A torsion beam type suspension device is provided in which a trailing arm part and a torsion beam part are formed as a unit by press-forming a tailored blank material in which end parts of plate materials having different thicknesses are butt-welded via a weld part. A weld part of the tailored blank material comprises a U-shaped cross section in which front and rear side wall portions are connected via a bottom wall portion, and a pair of cutouts are formed at the edge of each of the side wall portions at positions sandwiching the weld part, and therefore, when the torsion beam part is twistedly deformed, shifting the concentration of stress from the weld part to the cutout enables peeling apart of the weld end part to be prevented and the durability of the torsion beam type suspension device to be enhanced.
