摘要: A direct viewing picture image display apparatus displays a good picture image with a small amount of light and low power consumption using a laser beam without producing speckle noises. The display apparatus comprises a light source for emitting a laser beam, an optical modulating system for optically modulating the laser beam from the light source in response to a video signal, a scanning system for horizontally and vertically scanning the modulated laser beam from the scanning signal in response to a scanning signal, and a projecting optical system for projecting the scanned laser beam from the scanning system to form an image of the laser beam on the retina of an eye of an observer. Depth information is provided to the laser beam at a suitable stage after optical modulation by the optical modulating system so that a stereoscopic image is displayed.

摘要: A parallax image string pickup apparatus can attract the gaze of the person being shot to make it stable without making the person nervous about the camera operation when the person is shot from a plurality of different angles and, at the same time, provide the person or object 31 with necessary information for the shooting operation including the position of the person in the frame of the viewfinder of the camera of the camera unit 32 and other shooting conditions. The parallax image string pickup apparatus 1 includes a camera unit 32 screened from the object 31, and a half mirror 40 is arranged between the camera unit 32 and the object 31. As the half mirror 40 shows an image of the object 31, the gaze of the object 31 is attracted to the half mirror 40 before and during a shooting operation.

摘要: A bead disposition is imaged while performing illumination by reflection illumination or penetration illumination so that a peak point of brightness brighter than the outside of a bead is observed in the inside of the bead and the circumferential portion of the bead is darker than the outside of the bead. A peak point of brightness in the inside of a bead is detected from the image data and adjacent pixels are successively painted with the peak point of brightness as a starting point, wherein the adjacent pixels have a brightness level of t2 or greater. Then, the image data is binarized. A space filling percentage of beads is calculated from the number of white or black pixels of an obtained binary image. Alternatively, binarization can also be performed after detecting a circle or circular arc pattern corresponding to a dark portion in the circumferential portion of bead from the image data by a pattern matching method and painting the inside of the circle or circular arc. In this way, the status of bead filling in a translucent screen using micro glass beads is measured.

摘要: A method capable of converting motion image data, which is captured in an ordinary way without intending to produce parallax image printed matter, to data that can be printed as parallax image printed matter is provided. The method includes the steps of specifying at least one frame as a reference frame from a plurality of frames constituting the motion image data, and setting a point-of-regard on an object in the reference frame, calculating an amount of movement of the point-of-regard using a relation between the point-of-regard in the reference frame and a point corresponding thereto in another frame, obtaining a motion compensation amount for each frame based on this amount of movement thereof, and executing a motion compensation processing for the motion image data based on the motion compensation amount, thereby converting the motion image data to parallax image data.
