    摘要: A hedgetrimmer having a blade assembly that includes a sawblade for cutting through larger branches and other vegetative foliage. The sawblade portion is fixedly secured to the reciprocating hedgetrimmer blade assembly to move in linear back and forth motion. It extends beyond a support bar for the hedgetrimmer blades so that it's able to cut through the branch. A support bracket is attached to the support bar to brace and support the branch as its being cut by the saw blade. Also included is a pivotable guard bar at the tip of the blade assembly so protect the blades and to protect any object or structure that may be accidently struck by the blade assembly.

    摘要: A flush cut grinder tool bit made of an elongated cylindrical shape with an inwardly facing saw blade within the inner diameter of the elongated cylindrical shape that can be sleeved over a protruding object, such that the cutting saw blade portion of the tool bit is inside the cylindrical tool bit so that when it is sleeved over a protruding object, moving the tool bit back and forth over the protruding object will cut the protruding object off at the surface. The body of the drill bit terminates at its distal end with a flush flange having saw teeth therein, and may include a bit shank suspended in the middle of a drill bit body by spokes or a solid surface radially extending from said bit shank. A method of using such a flush cut grinder tool bit is included.

    摘要: A method is described for producing a sawing bead for use in a sawing cord. Sawing cords are used for cutting hard and brittle materials. In the method, laser cladding is used to form an abrasive layer on a small metallic tube (204) or sleeve. The abrasive layer (220) comprises a metal matrix material in which abrasive particles such as diamond, cubic boron nitride or other hard cutting materials are embedded. The metal matrix material preferably comprises an active metal that improves wetting and adhesion of the abrasive particles. Although the abrasive particles are relative large—with a particle size in excess of 100 μm—they are evenly distributed throughout the abrasive layer. This is achieved by letting the tube (204) rotate relative to the laser cladding system possibly in combination with a relative axial movement so that the cladding track loops on itself thereby forming an abrasive layer (220). Additionally the method allows to shape the sawing bead for improved geometrical tolerances and centricity. Production times are less than ten seconds per bead and the method is easily automated.

    摘要: A saw blade provided with two walls set apart from each other and with blade teeth arranged on each wall in a pattern along the distal end of each wall and on the inner surface of each wall. During a single cutting motion, the distal teeth provide the initial cut and the inner teeth remove additional material along the pathway. This increases the amount of material removed in one cut, leaving a small amount of material (bone) at the bottom of the slot for the surgeon to remove in the final step. Thus, the blade configuration and the tooth pattern of the saw blade improves the cutting efficiency.
