Abstract:
A part structure for projection resistance welding a nonmetallic or electrically non-conductivebody, such as of synthetic resin, wood, porcelain, ceramic, etc. to a metal base wherein the part structure comprises the nonconductive body, a conductive welding projection of the body, and a current conducting member carried by the body leading to the projection from a remote surface on the body; the part structure being weldable on a metal base by including the metal base and a welding machine electrode, such as press-platen, in a welding circuit and disposing the part structure between the metal base and the platen with welding current communicating from the platen to the base through the current conducting member and the projection to fuse the projection with the base.
Abstract:
The present disclosure inhibits liquid metal embrittlement (LME) cracking in a welded joint obtained by spot welding a first steel sheet and a second steel sheet. In the welded joint of the present disclosure, a first plating layer is provided on a surface of the first steel sheet facing the second steel sheet, no plating layer is present on or a second plating layer is provided on a surface of the second steel sheet facing the first steel sheet, and a boundary plating layer is provided between the first steel sheet and the second steel sheet in a range of 0.5 mm from an end part of the corona bond toward an outside of the spot welded part. A higher tensile strength of a tensile strength of the first steel sheet and a tensile strength of the second steel sheet is 780 MPa or more, an area ratio of a η-Zn phase at the cross-section of the boundary plating layer is 5% or more, and the first plating layer and the second plating layer satisfy predetermined Relations I and II.
Abstract:
A resistance spot welding method inhibits, in accordance with the electrode angle, the occurrence of cracking in the weld regardless of the steel grade. The resistance spot welding method satisfies relationships: 2·A·(t·T/F)1/2≤H when 0≤A
Abstract:
A method of projection welding hardware to a plated steel sheet for hot stamping, may include pressing hardware and a plated steel sheet in a state in which a welding projection on the hardware is in contact with the plated steel sheet, supplying a primary current to the hardware and the plated steel sheet in a state in which they are pressed, and supplying a secondary current to the hardware and the plated steel sheet.
Abstract:
This patent describes metal flake composites consisting of metal flakes and thermoplastic resins as printing materials for additive manufacturing of prototypes with metallic appearance, improved mechanical properties and durability. Metal flakes of 5 to 50 microns in average size (D50) and 0.2-2 microns in thickness are made of base metals such as aluminum, chromium, cobalt, copper, iron, nickel, tin, titanium, zinc, and their alloys, e.g., stainless steel, brass and bronze by ball milling metal powder precursors in the presence of a liquid solvent and lubricants. Thermoplastic resins such as Nylon, polystyrene, polycarbonate, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene are coated with metal flakes in a composition ranging from 0.5 to 50% by weight. The composite undergoes a bonding process to improve its adhesion and uniformity. The metal flake-based resin composites are used for additive manufacturing by selective laser sintering or other heating methods such as resistance heating at temperature ranging from 150 to 280° C.
Abstract:
A steel sheet assembly includes a plurality of lapped steel sheets which have a tensile strength of 1,470 MPa or less and a thickness of 0.3 mm to 5.0 mm, the steel sheet assembly being formed by applying, in advance, an adhesive and a carbon-supplying agent to a surface of either or both of the steel sheets to be lapped and then welding the steel sheets. A weld of the assembly has a nugget diameter of 2.8√t (mm) or more, where t (mm) denotes the thickness of a thinner one of the steel sheets on both sides of a weld interface, and the amount of C is increased by 0.02 % by mass or more as compared to the steel sheets before being applied with the adhesive and the carbon-supplying agent.
