Abstract:
The invention relates to an absorbent paper product, such as a napkin or tissue, including at least two tissue paper plies which are superposed and joined, cut or precut into a desired format and connected to one another at least over a segment of a peripheral zone. The plies are joined along the segment by marking patterns without resort to glueing and at least one ply is fitted with embossing patterns in a central zone. The invention applies to sanitary and household papers, in particular disposable napkins and tissues.
Abstract:
Multi-ply fibrous structure products, more specifically embossed multi-ply fibrous structure products and methods for making same are provided.
Abstract:
Method and device for producing a laminated, embossed and printed web of flexible material, such as paper and nonwoven material. Each of two web-shaped materials are separately embossed in selected embossing patterns while leaving other areas substantially non-embossed, at least one of the web-shaped materials is printed in a selected printing pattern, the printing and embossing steps being synchronized so that printing occurs mainly in the non-embossed areas of the web-shaped material. Glue is transferred to the embossed areas of at least one of the web-shaped materials and the embossed areas of the two web-shaped materials are adhesively joined in a lamination step to form a laminated web product.
Abstract:
An ultra soft, bulky, multi-ply tissue having low overall sidedness and a geometric mean tensile strength of less than about 800 g/3null wherein an embossed ply has a TMI sidedness of at least about 0.45 and an embossed area of at least about 2%, which is capable of being made from non-premium furnish, and method for making such products are disclosed. An ultra soft, bulky, multi-ply tissue having low overall sidedness and a geometric mean tensile strength of less than about 35 g/3null per lb. of basis weight wherein an embossed ply has a TMI sidedness of at least about 0.45 and an embossed area of at least about 2%, which is capable of being made from non-premium furnish, and method for making such products are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A multiply tissue product comprising at least two plies of a tissue interconnected to each other. The multiply tissue further comprises a layer including super absorbent fiber-like particles in at least one interface region in between two adjacent plies of the tissue webs, wherein the basis weight of the layer is between about 0.5% and about 50% of the overall basis weight of the two adjacent plies of tissue.
Abstract:
A laminate wiping product is disclosed. The wiping product includes a first outer ply that has a textured surface. For example, the first outer ply can be an uncreped throughdried paper web having a three-dimensional conformation. The second outer ply, on the other hand, can be a smoother and softer web. The plies are laminated together by any suitable process. In one embodiment, the plies are embossed and nested together to form the final product.
Abstract:
A sheet material web assembly includes a plurality of layers of sheet material web, with each layer having a plurality of embossments arranged in a pattern. The embossments in each layer are raised in the same direction and nest within the plurality of embossments in the other layers. A portion of the pattern of embossments further comprises a plurality of crimped embossments that bind the plurality of layers together.
Abstract:
A multi-purpose embossing machine (11) for producing embossed paper comprises a bottom body (12), which supports a first embossing assembly (3,4) that works associated to a second embossing assembly (36). The machine 11 has a top body (18) which supports the second embossing assembly (36) in a position corresponding to the first embossing assembly (34), said top body (18) being connected to the bottom body (12) via a supporting and actuating element (52, 54) designed to support at least part of the weight of the top body (18) during operation of the embossing machine (11) and to enable the bottom body (12) and the top body (18) to be moved apart from one another in a situation of danger. Also provided is a resting element (26) set between the top body (18) and the bottom body (12).
Abstract:
The invention provides an embossed sheet (10) consisting of at least one ply of crnullped cellulose wadding with a grammage of between 12 and 30 g/m2 of the type with an embossed pattern (16, 18) comprising at least a first series of protuberances (16) formed so as to project from one face of the ply (14) and the density of which is greater than 20e protuberances per cm2, characterized in that each protuberance (16) of the first series comprises a truncated polyhedron-shaped base (28) and a flattened free-end portion (30) with rounded edges.
Abstract:
An embossed multiple ply paper product and process for producing such product displaying aesthetically pleasing decorative attributes and exhibiting functional characteristics of softness, absorbency, and drape. The decorative attributes comprise embossed patterns of indicia displaying a high quality cloth-like appearance for a softer, more quilted look. The plies are joined in a face-to-face arrangement by selective bonds which are limited to the indicia, in order to produce more permanent decorative figures that inhibit dissipation caused by compressive forces, humidity, absorption, etc.
