Abstract: A guiding element at a joint between boards, the joint including groove and tongue preferably intended to be joined by the use of glue. The tongue includes at least one guiding wedge. A fitting clearance between the tongue and the groove includes a first fitting clearance and a second, guiding, fitting clearance. The second, guiding, fitting clearance is obtained through the guiding wedges which are arranged parallel to the extension of the joint. The first fitting clearance comprises the main part of the fit and the second, guiding fitting clearance comprises a smaller part of the fit. The first fitting clearance is in the range 0.1-1 mm, while the second, guiding, fitting clearance is in the range 0.01-0.2 mm. The tongue of the joint is provided with at least one equalizing recess so that at least one equalizing cavity is formed in the joint, which equalizing cavity receives surplus glue used during the joining.

Abstract: A modular floor tile has a first side and a second side opposite to the first side. The first side has a first male locking structure with a male locking end. The second side has a female locking structure with a locking receptacle, which has a receiving groove, a locking notch vertically adjacent the receiving groove, and a female locking end adjacent the locking notch, such that the male locking end of a first one of the floor tile is insertable into the receiving groove of a second one of the floor tile, and vertically movable from the receiving groove into the locking notch to engage with the female locking end of the second one of the floor tile, thereby engaging the first male locking structure of the first one of the floor tile with the female locking structure of the second one of the floor tile.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a floor panel that is processed on roll equipment, whereby a decorative design consisting of elongated striations is printed with the elongated striations oriented in an across-machine direction. The decorative design is printed on a print layer and is subsequently laminated to a substrate layer. The laminated flooring material is then cut such that the elongate sides of the panels are cut in the across machine direction. This results in a floor panel with greater dimensional stability on the elongate side.

Abstract: A multi-level unitary safety surface tile. The tile may be of monolithic construction. The tile may include rubber. The tile may include an upper level and a lower level. Hollow protrusions may extend between the levels. At least one protrusion may include resilient walls extending from the upper layer and converging to a protrusion bottom-cap in the lower level. Inter-protrusion ribs may span between and support adjacent protrusions. With the lower layer disposed upon an underlayer, the protrusions may support the upper level. The tile may attenuate impact forces incident upon the upper layer. The tile may constitute a unitary safety surface. The tile may include structures facilitating interlocking of adjoining tiles into a multi-tile unitary safety surface. Protrusion extensions and/or support ribs may support the structures. The tile may be manufactured in a one-piece molding process utilizing mold forms maintained parallel to opposable faces of a mold press.

Abstract: Provided is a tile for concealing an underlying surface. The tile includes a base including a downward-facing surface that is to oppose an underlying surface on which the tile is to rest. The base is formed, at least in part, from a material including a combination of crumb rubber and rice hull material. A plurality of feet extend in a downwardly direction from the downward-facing surface to contact the underlying surface on which the tile is to rest and separate the downward-facing surface from the underlying surface. A cap is coupled to a surface of the base opposite the downward-facing surface comprising the feet.
