    摘要: Featured is a particulate and pressure redirection barrier for an electrical breaker as well as a breaker embodying such a barrier. Such a barrier includes first through fifth segments, where the first segment includes a first and second side section and a bottom section that are coupled to each other so as to form a generally U shaped structure. The second segment is coupled to the first side section so it extends outwardly at an angle from the first side section. The third segment is coupled to the second side section so as to extend outwardly and at an angle from the second side section. The fourth segment is coupled to the second segment so as to extend outwardly from and at an angle with respect to the second segment. The fifth segment is coupled to the third segment so as to extend outwardly from and at an angle with respect to the third segment. Such a configuration of the fourth and fifth segments is such that gas flowing along a surface of the second or third segments is redirected at an angle with respect to that surface.

    摘要: Mounting structure is provided for mounting a tank to support structure. The tank has a flange extending from a body thereof. The mounting structure includes at least a pair of first bores extending into the flange in a first direction. At least a pair of second bores. Each second bore extends into the flange in a direction generally transverse with respect to an associated first bore so that each second bore communicates with the associated first bore. A pin is disposed in each of the second bores. Each pin has a threaded pin bore that aligns axially with the associated first bore. A bolt is disposed through a bolt hole in the support structure, into an associated first bore and in threaded engagement with the threaded pin bore of an associated pin so as to secure the tank to the support structure.

Under such configuration, arc gas discharged out of the arc gas outlet can be rapidly discharged to outside through the exhaustion guides, without an eddy current.

    摘要: An arc-resistant switchgear enclosure has a vent opening and a vent flap. Normally the vent flap is open to allow air to circulate through the enclosure. However, in the event of an arc fault explosion in the enclosure, the vent flap is forced to close by the explosion. As the vent flap closes, a flexible latch member moves along a keeper and prevents the vent flap from reopening. In some embodiments, the latch member contacts the keeper and props the vent flap open for normal operation.
