摘要： A register box for HVAC installations has a body with a plurality of side panels arranged in a generally rectangular or square configuration and a wall extending across the rectangular configuration, a duct opening through the wall so as to communicate with an interior of the body, and an expandable foam polymeric material affixed to an inner side of the side panels. The wall has a surface extending from the opening of the duct to the side panels. The expandable foam polymeric material is affixed to the surface of the wall. The expandable polymeric material is polyurethane.

摘要： A foam cushion pad formation assembly that includes a conveyance assembly having at least one moving conveyor component presenting a pad shape formation surface, which surface is convoluted and arranged to shape sealed enclosures of a pad chain received by the conveyance assembly. A separation device is provided to separate shaped pads of the pad chain received by said conveyor device. The shaped pads include convoluted surface that are formed by way of gripping projection and recesses combinations in the moving conveyor component. Embodiments include sensing for non separated pads from a downstream end of the bag chain, pad chain separation enhancement devices, and various control system including the requirement of confirmation of separation before feeding a new pad enclosure as in one containing liquid polyurethane precursor chemicals. An embodiment includes a pad chain path disruption sensor and a form feed control which implements the formation of pad enclosures free of filler material in a bridging region between the outlet end of the enclosure formation means and the conveyance assembly.

摘要： A composite article having an elastomeric composition with a blowing agent having an activation temperature and providing at least one structural member defining a fixed gap. The composition is formed below the blowing agent's activation temperature into a solid elastomeric member approximately the thickness of or larger than the gap. The elastomeric member is assembled into the gap, which may place the elastomeric member in a state of compression in the gap. The elastomeric member is then expanded by heating it above the activation temperature. During expansion, the escape of the gas produced is limited to increase the state of compression of the elastomer in the gap by means of confining any free surfaces or by including a platy filler such as nanoclay in the composition.

摘要： A blade for a hockey stick is provided. The blade includes a first core member and a covering member. The first core member includes a tube and an expanding foam core material disposed within the tube. The tube includes an upper wall, a lower wall, a front wall, and a rear wall and is preferably made from a resin impregnated carbon fiber material (i.e., pre-preg). The covering member is similarly made from a pre-preg material and includes a front inner surface and a rear inner surface. The covering member substantially surrounds the first core member. The pre-preg material is cured in a mold that causes the front and rear walls of the tube to bond to the front and rear inner surfaces of the covering member. The foam core material expands during the curing process to maintain the integrity of the wall structure of the tube.
