摘要: A card reading device with a plurality of protecting mesh wires includes a main board, an outer frame, a first mesh wire and a second mesh wire. The main board includes an electronic member region and a card inserting case. The outer frame is disposed on the main board and includes a first groove and a second groove. The first groove covers the electronic member region. The second groove covers the card inserting case. The first mesh wire is disposed in the first groove and includes a first wire end connected to the electronic member region. The second mesh wire is disposed in the second groove and includes a second wire and connected to the electronic member region. When the outer frame is damaged or destroyed, the first mesh wire or the second mesh wire is triggered to activate a circuit protecting procedure to shortcut or disconnect a signal circuit.

摘要: A method and device for selecting one or more transponders, in particular backscatter-based transponders, from a plurality of transponders by a base station, which method is based on a slotted ALOHA method, in which the base station defines numbered time slots and a random number generated in a given transponder determines a time slot when the transponder transmits its transponder-specific identification to the base station. The random number is generated in a given transponder with the aid of a random number generator, the relevant random number generator is switched into a counter operating mode after reception of a selection command transmitted by the base station, while a count state of the random number generator is decremented or incremented when the base station transmits the start of a time slot, the relevant transponder transmits a transponder-specific identification to the base station if the count state of its random number generator is equal to a predetermined value, and the relevant random number generator is then switched back into the operating mode for random number generation.

摘要: A wireless device may alert a wireless smart card reader that communication of data between the wireless device and the wireless smart card reader is probably imminent by sending an activation alert. Upon receipt of the activation alert, if the wireless smart card reader is in a low-power state, the wireless smart card reader may enter a higher-power state. If the wireless smart card reader is in the higher-power state upon receipt of the activation alert, the wireless smart card reader may remain in the higher-power state until a timeout period has expired. The wireless device may instruct the wireless smart card reader to enter the low-power state by sending a deactivation alert if the wireless device detects that communication of data between the wireless device and the wireless smart card reader is not likely to occur within a specified period of time.
