    摘要: Disclosed are a slurry composition for chemical mechanical polishing and a precursor composition thereof. The polishing slurry composition includes deionized water, abrasive particles, a pH-adjusting agent and a surfactant, wherein the surfactant includes two or more ionic moieties and two or more lipophilic groups. The polishing slurry composition can polish convex surfaces of a semiconductor having a step height at a higher rate than the polishing rate for concave surfaces acting as polishing stop layers of the semiconductor so that the polishing can be self-stopped, reduces the occurrence of surface defects after the polishing process, and has a high degree of polishing planarization and good dispersion stability.

    摘要: Disclosed is a photosensitive resin composition. The composition comprises [A] an alkali-soluble resin, [B] a photoactive compound and [C] a solvent. The alkali-soluble resin is a copolymer including at least one structural unit with an aziridine group. The composition exhibits good storage stability, high sensitivity, high UV transmittance, high residual film ratio, improved coating uniformity and excellent pattern-forming properties. Further disclosed is an organic insulating film formed using the composition. The organic insulating film has excellent resistance to solvents and chemicals.

    摘要: A light emitting diode is disclosed. The diode includes a package support and a semiconductor chip on the package support, with the chip including an active region that emits light in the visible portion of the spectrum. Metal contacts are in electrical communication with the chip on the package. A substantially transparent encapsulant covers the chip in the package. A phosphor in the encapsulant emits a frequency in the visible spectrum different from the frequency emitted by the chip and in response to the wavelength emitted by the chip. A display element is also disclosed that combines the light emitting diode and a planar display element. The combination includes a substantially planar display element with the light emitting diode positioned on the perimeter of the display element and with the package support directing the output of the diode substantially parallel to the plane of the display element.

    摘要: An optical fiber telecommunications cable includes micromodules positioned with a longitudinal central cavity formed by a jacket. Two strength members are arranged longitudinally in the jacket and define a bending axis of the cable. Each strength member has an elongated oval cross-sectional shape with a height perpendicular to the bending axis and a width parallel to the bending axis. The height-to-width ratio of each strength member is more than one and no more than two. The optical fiber telecommunications cable has a reduced diameter and good robustness, and can be manufactured at lower cost.

    摘要: Disclosed is an optical fiber cable that includes optical fibers and a deformable coupling element enclosed within a buffer tube. The coupling element is formed from a deformable yet substantially incompressible material that is capable of releasably and intermittently coupling the optical fibers to the buffer tube in various orientations. The design of the coupling element layer permits coupling of the optical fibers to the buffer tube without the use of a compressive cushioning layer and yet permits localized movement the optical fibers relative to the buffer tube to account for disparate thermal expansion and to accommodate optical fiber placement.

    摘要: An improved termination structure for high field semiconductor devices in silicon carbide is disclosed. The termination structure includes a silicon carbide-based device for high-field operation, an active region in the device, an edge termination passivation for the active region, in which the edge termination passivation includes, an oxide layer on at least some of the silicon carbide portions of the device for satisfying surface states and lowering interface density, a non-stoichiometric layer of silicon nitride on the oxide layer for avoiding the incorporation of hydrogen and for reducing parasitic capacitance and minimizing trapping, and, a stoichiometric layer of silicon nitride on the nonstoichiometric layer for encapsulating the nonstoichiometric layer and the oxide layer.
