    摘要: A method of producing an image display device used for an LCD projector by providing a periodic structure of pixels arranged in a matrix and a substrate supporting the pixels, modulating light entering from an entrance surface in pixel units, and emitting the same from an exit surface. A phase shift structure for randomly changing the phase of the light is formed on a surface of the substrate. The phase shift structure has a relief structure formed, for example, by etching the surface of the substrate through which light passes to random depths. Therefore, occurrence of high-order diffracted light caused by the periodic structure of very fine pixels is prevented, and accordingly the amount of 0th order light inherently required is increased.

    摘要: An interlayer insulation film (31) on a plug (11) is etched using a silicon nitride film (32) used in pattern etching of a bit line (12) as a hard mask such that the plug (11) projects into a groove (40). Another silicon nitride film (33) is provided to cover an exposed surface of the groove (40), the bit line (12) and the silicon nitride film (32), thereby forming another interlayer insulation film (34) on the silicon nitride film (33) to fill the groove (40). The silicon nitride films (33, 32) are used as an etching stopper to etch the interlayer insulation film (34) above the plug (11). The silicon nitride film (33) on the plug (11) is etched to expose the plug (11) into a recess.

    摘要: The invention provides a liquid crystal projector which can blast an increased amount of cooling air to raise the cooling efficiency without increasing the size of an optical prism unit. The liquid crystal projector includes a dichroic prism, a base for securing the dichroic prism with a lower plate interposed therebetween, a plurality of liquid crystal panel units disposed on side faces of the dichroic prism, and a cooling fan disposed below the base. The base has air holes formed therein such that air current generated by the cooling fan is introduced to the liquid crystal panel units through the air holes to cool the liquid crystal panel units. The lower plate has inclined faces at portions thereof which oppose to the air holes of the base.
