摘要: A magnetic nanoparticle imaging system has driving coils driven at multiple frequencies, the driving coils positioned to provide magnetic fields and field gradients to an imaging zone, and a static bias field magnet positioned to provide a static magnetic field and/or field gradient to the imaging zone. Magnetic sensors are positioned to sense magnetic fields from the imaging zone, and a signal processor processes signals from the sensors to find at least signal magnitude and phase at harmonics and/or intermodulation products of the multiple frequencies. In embodiments, the signal processing apparatus also determines signal magnitudes and phase of at least second and third harmonics of the first frequency, and maps location of nanoparticles in the imaging zone based upon the magnitudes of harmonics and magnitudes of the intermodulation products.

摘要: A system and method are disclosed that use information from a distributed, sensor-based network to decide if unwanted tampering is occurring within a utility infrastructure and how to respond. The system and method receive data from sensors located in embedded devices on the edge of the network (i.e., edge devices) and process the data to identify the presence or absence of indicators. A factor graph is generated and. updated with the indicators, along with historical incident and user-defined data, and relationships between the sensors. Based upon the factor graph, the system and method determine what events are occurring at edge devices and decide whether the events are tamper events caused by unwanted tampering. Enforcement programs are used to appropriately mitigate the tamper events.

摘要: An apparatus and method for triaging patients according to radiation exposure operates by measuring electron paramagnetic resonance spectra of teeth. When operating in vivo, radiation induced spectra are obtained from intact teeth placed within a magnetic field and with a resonator having a loop and two capacitors formed in metal layers on a printed circuit substrate and located near teeth. The resonator is magnetically coupled to an RF measuring system. The spectra are used to determine radiation dose of a subject. The characteristics of the method and the apparatus make it feasible to utilize the system to measure radiation dose using previously untrained operators working in the field under emergency conditions.

摘要: A monitor for pulsed high energy radiation therapy using a radiation beam passing through a treatment zone, the radiation of 0.2 MEV or greater; has a camera for imaging Cherenkov light from the treatment zone; apparatus for preventing interference by room lighting, the camera synchronized to pulses of the radiation beam; and an image processor adapted to determine extent of the beam area on the patient skin from the images. Additionally an image processor determines cumulative skin dose in the treatment zone from the images. In embodiments, the processor uses a three-dimensional model of a subject to determine mapping of image intensity in images of Cherenkov light to radiation intensity in skin, applies the mapping to images of Cherenkov light to verify skin dose delivered, and accumulates skin dose by summing the maps of skin dose.

摘要: The present invention relates to novel regulatory T cell proteins. One protein, designated PD-L3, resembles members of the PD-L1 family, and co-stimulates αCD3 proliferation of T cells in vitro. A second, TNF-like, protein has also been identified as being upregulated upon αCD3/αGITR stimulation. This protein has been designated Treg-sTNF. Proteins, antibodies, activated T cells and methods for using the same are disclosed. In particular methods of using these proteins and compounds, preferably antibodies, which bind or modulate (agonize or antagonize) the activity of these proteins, as immune modulators and for the treatment of cancer, autoimmune disease, allergy, infection and inflammatory conditions, e.g. multiple sclerosis is disclosed
