摘要: A sheet feed cassette includes a case, and right and left guide members that are disposed in the case and guide edges of a sheet parallel with a sheet feeding direction. The guide members are movable in a sheet width direction in synchronization with each other. The guide members are adjusted in association with a size of the sheet to be accommodated in a sheet accommodation area. The right guide member includes a slide member and a leaf spring attached to the slide member. As the right guide member is moved toward a side wall of the case, a protrusion extending from the side wall contacts the leaf spring, through a slit formed on the slide member. The leaf spring is deformed and the sheet accommodation area in the case gradually becomes larger toward a sheet stacking direction from a bottom of the case.

摘要: In an image forming apparatus, a sheet discharge device is provided. The sheet discharge device may include a drive roller and a driven roller driven by the drive roller. Also, the sheet discharge device can have a flange portion disposed at one end of the driven roller in a longitudinal direction thereof so as to rotate together with the driven roller. The flange portion may include a cutout having a first guide surface and a second guide surface disposed downstream of the first guide surface in a rotating direction of the driven roller. The first guide surface may be longer than the second guide surface.

摘要: A computer-readable recording medium containing an application management program for automatically performing version management to surely manage versions of a client application that communicates with a server application. A communication request monitor acquires a communication request issued from a terminal device to a server, and extracts version information of a client application from the communication request. An upgrade determination unit determines whether the extracted version information shows the latest version, and determines that upgrade is necessary if the version is not the latest version. A setting file transmitter sends the communication request to the server if the upgrade determination unit does not determine that the upgrade is necessary. If the upgrade is necessary, on the contrary, the setting file transmitter discards the communication request and sends the client application setting file for the latest version to the terminal device sending the communication request.

摘要: A sheet-feeding cassette includes: a stacking member including first engaging sections and second engaging sections provided at intervals which are smaller than those of the first engaging sections; and a regulatory member regulating the position of sheets, the regulatory member including an operation section that is operated at the time of movement of the regulatory member and is capable of being displaced, a first engaged section that is capable of engaging with the first engaging sections and is elastically deformable, and a second engaged section that is capable of engaging with the second engaging sections. The second engaged section is displaced in a direction so as to be disengaged from the second engaging sections in accordance with displacement of the operation section, and the first engaged section is elastically deformed as a result of being interlocked with the second engaged section according to displacement of the operation section.

摘要: In a multi-processor system in which a plurality of threads to be simultaneously executed at a plurality of processors are stored as one thread set at a context area one-to-one corresponding to a thread set provided in a context save area on a main storage, the method of enabling a plurality of processors to start execution of threads simultaneously, in which exclusive arbitration is conducted during exception processing so as to temporarily allow only one processor among the plurality of processors constituting the multi-processor system to obtain kernel scheduler execution authority, and a processor obtaining kernel scheduler execution authority selects a thread set to be executed next and controls such that a plurality of threads in the selected thread set are executed simultaneously at a plurality of processors including its own processor.

摘要: An acceleration detector comprising a rotor rotatably supported within a housing and rotating against the urging force of a torsion spring based on acceleration, a pair of contact terminals contacting each other to be in an electrically connected state by rotation of the rotor at an inner end portion provided within the housing, and a supporting portion integrally formed with the rotor and supporting the torsion spring. The supporting portion is displaced by a predetermined amount in a predetermined direction from the rotary center of the rotor so that the spring effect center when torque is exerted on the torsion spring by rotation of the rotor substantially corresponds to the rotary center of the rotor. This construction of the acceleration detector produces the desired performance approximating the design value in an acceleration detector.

摘要: The present invention measures traffic congestion by utilizing a video camera to capture images of vehicles travelling on a road and analyzing sample points that are assigned to different aspects of the images. For example, presence and movement sample points correspond to the expected location and motion of the vehicles respectively. The sample points adjacent to one another from either movement or congestion blocks. The blocks that have a ratio of movement sample points to all other sample points within the block greater than a predetermined level are moveable blocks. The remaining presence sample points in the image signify congestion sample points and form congestion blocks. Congestion blocks have a ratio of congestion sample points to all other sample points within the block greater than a predetermined level. Therefore, the state of traffic congestion is measured based upon the resultant movement and congestion blocks.
