Abstract:
An apparatus for crushing waste metal products includes a rotor having crushing means on a periphery thereof and a casing enclosing the rotor. The casing has an inlet and an outlet for products to be crushed. An exhaust gas from the casing is partly returned to the inlet of the casing by a circulator. The rest of the exhaust gas is ventilated and processed by an exhaust processor. An oxygen concentration is monitored in a gas pathway of the circulator to control the gas concentration in the casing. If the oxygen concentration is high, a water shower sprays into the casing.
Abstract:
A full color electrophotographic toner including toner particles containing at least a binder resin, a colorant and a wax, and external additives, at least one of the external additives being rutile titanium oxide having a volume resistivity of 1×1014 to 1×1018 &OHgr;cm, and a dispersion absolute deviation a of rutile titanium oxide being 0.17 or less, and a full color electrophotographic developer and an image forming method using the same are provided. In the full color electrophotographic toner, the full color electrophotographic developer and the image forming method of the invention, a retransfer phenomenon of the transferred toner can be prevented, a chargeability and a transferability are not problematic at all, a charging amount of the toner in long-term use can be rendered appropriate and stable, and a fluidity is also excellent.
Abstract:
This invention pertains to a method of separating iron sheets from washed iron products. The method includes the following steps: crushing wasted iron products into pieces; transporting the crushed pieces on a conveyer; and separating iron sheet pieces from the crushed pieces on the conveyer by virtue of a magnetic separator placed over the conveyer, wherein the iron sheet pieces staying on the conveyer in a standing state are selectively subjected to an upward force. By applying the upward force to the sheet-shaped iron pieces staying on the conveyer, the balance between magnetic and gravitational force is lost and the iron sheet pieces are smoothly attracted by the magnetic separator.
Abstract:
An attempt has been made to prevent damage of a hermetic terminal and to improve pressure-resistance strength of the welded joint of connecting pipes in order to provide a sealed housing 4 having a pressure-resistance strength high enough to allow use of a high-pressure alternative refrigerant. For this purpose, ring-shaped metal members 15 and 23 are welded to the outer peripheries of the welded joints of a hermetic terminal 8 to be hermetically welded to an upper end plate 1 of a sealed housing 4 and a discharge pipe 10. As a result, in the event the internal pressure of the sealed housing 4 increases and the upper end plate 1 deforms in the shape of a sphere, the ring-shaped metal member 15 on the outer periphery of the welded joint of the hermetic terminal 8 suppresses the deformation of the hermetic terminal 8 thus preventing damage of a glass seal 12 of the hermetic terminal 8, and the ring-shaped metal member 23 on the outer periphery of the welded joint of the discharge pipe 10 decreases the tensile stress produced in the welded joint of the discharge pipe 10 thus improving the pressure-resistance strength of the connecting section of the discharge pipe 10 thereby providing a sealed type compressor having a sealed housing 4 with a sufficiently high pressure-resistance strength.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an electrostatic image developer comprising a toner and a carrier wherein the toner includes toner particles having an average particle diameter of 3 to 9 .mu.m, a hydrophobic silica microparticles having a BET specific surface area of 40 to 120 m.sup.2 /g, and a hydrophobic titanium compound microparticles having a BET specific surface area of 40 to 250 m.sup.2 /g; and wherein the carrier is a resin coated carrier having a coating layer of a resin. The electrostatic image developer can improve the environmental dependency of charging, power fluidity, resistance to caking of a toner and reduced change in charging with time course to provide an image with an excellent image quality for a long period of time.

Abstract:
An apparatus for mounting a plate on a plate cylinder includes a plate lockup device, reference pins, and a lamp. The plate lockup device is provided in a gap formed in the circumference surface of the plate cylinder. The reference pins are electrically rendered conductive by an insertion end of a plate inserted to a gripper surface of the plate lockup device, thereby detecting insertion of the plate. The lamp confirms and indicates insertion of the plate from an output from the reference pins.
