Abstract: An automatic master slave system and approach for coordinated control of a parameter, for example, a heating, ventilation and air conditioning condition, in an area of multiple spaces controlled by room controllers. Changing a layout of a zone/area in a building such as moving, adding or removing a door, increasing or splitting size of a room through movable walls, or by permanently removing partitions, changing offices to a conference room or vice versa, may occur. A size of a room may be altered within minutes, according to customer demand. For instance, rooms may be converted into a single room by removing partitions. The controllers that were controlling temperatures of the rooms independently earlier, may convert automatically into a master-slave configuration and now work together to control a larger room. If the large room is split into multiple rooms, the controllers may automatically revert to their previous configuration.

Abstract: Devices, methods, and systems for determining environmental standard compliance are described herein. One computing device for determining environmental standard compliance includes one or more sensors for measuring at least one environmental parameter to be used in calculating whether a facility system is in compliance with an environmental standard, a memory to store data values received from the sensor and historical data values of the at least one parameter and instructions executable by the processor. The processor configured to execute the executable instructions stored in the memory to access multiple data values regarding thresholds to be met under a particular environmental standard or a particular facility in order to maintain compliance, access historical data values to be compared with the multiple data values regarding thresholds to determine historical compliance with the environmental standard, access current data values to be compared with the multiple data values regarding thresholds for multiple standard parameters to determine historical compliance with the environmental standard, and determine compliance with the environmental standard based on comparison of the historical and current data values with the multiple data values regarding thresholds to determine whether each of the multiple standard parameters is met and the facility is in compliance with the standard.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for controller programming migration automation are described herein. One device includes instructions executable to receive controller programming information associated with a first controller of a building system, wherein the received controller programming information is of a first information type, convert the received controller programming information to a second information type associated with a second controller of the building system, based, at least in part, on a set of conversion rules particular to the first controller and the second controller, and generate a report including information associated with the conversion.

Abstract: A voice-responsive building management system is described herein. One system includes an interface, a dynamic grammar builder, and a speech processing engine. The interface is configured to receive a speech card of a user, wherein the speech card of the user includes speech training data of the user and domain vocabulary for applications of the building management system for which the user is authorized. The dynamic grammar builder is configured to generate grammar from a building information model of the building management system. The speech processing engine is configured to receive a voice command or voice query from the user, and execute the voice command or voice query using the speech training data of the user, the domain vocabulary, and the grammar generated from the building information model.

Abstract: Each of a plurality of assets within a building are configured to access a cellular network in order to ascertain its specific location, to perform self-diagnostics on itself, and to transmit an assistance request when the self-diagnostics indicates a potential problem. The assistance request may include the specific location of the asset and an indication of the potential problem. A server is operably couplable to the cellular network and is configured to receive the assistance requests from the assets, formulate a service request for responding to at least some of the received assistance requests, assign each of the service requests to a corresponding one of one or more automated asset maintenance assistants, and transmit each of the service requests to the assigned automated asset maintenance assistant instructing the assigned automated asset maintenance assistant to respond to the corresponding assistance request.
