摘要： According to one embodiment, a method for removing carbon dioxide in an exhaust gas utilizing seawater includes: blowing ammonia into seawater to produce ammonia-saturated seawater; contacting an exhaust gas under a state of non-heat with the ammonia-saturated seawater so that carbon dioxide in the exhaust gas is absorbed in the ammonia-saturated seawater; and splaying a solution containing sodium hydrogen carbonate and ammonium chloride which are produced through absorption of the carbon dioxide by the ammonia-saturated seawater utilizing pressure of the exhaust gas while cooling the solution utilizing heat of evaporation of a solvent of the solution so as to settle out and recover the sodium hydrogen carbonate and the ammonium chloride.

摘要： A magnetic tape which comprises a nonmagnetic support, a magnetic layer which is formed on one surface of the nonmagnetic support, and a backcoat layer which comprises a binder and nonmagnetic powder containing carbon black as a component and which is formed on the other surface of the nonmagnetic support, having pits for optical servo formed thereon, characterized in that the average of the reflectance on the flat portion of the backcoat layer is 8.5% or higher, and that the maximum rate of fluctuation of the reflectance on the flat portion, depending on a position of the magnetic tape: [Maximum of absolute value of(Reflectance−Average reflectance)]×100/(Average reflectance) is 10% or lower. This magnetic tape is high in the initial S/N of the servo signal, and also high in the S/N of the servo signal found after the magnetic tape is run twice.

摘要： The present invention provides a system for performing procedures to request repair, without troubling the driver, when a car breaks down, as well as various onboard peripheral apparatuses and cellular phone used for this system.This system comprises an onboard peripheral apparatus having a failure detector, an onboard main controller for managing car information, a cellular phone which can make wireless connection to the onboard main controller, and a response center for receiving requests for car repairs and maintenance and making arrangements therefor. When a failure is detected, repair request is transmitted to the response center through wireless communication together with the user ID of the driver. Based on this request, the response center acquires remedy information from a car manufacturer and makes arrangements for repair and provides this remedy information to a repair shop.

摘要： An invisible symbol reading apparatus includes a heating unit for heating an invisible symbol formed on a sample and containing a material which emits infrared light when heated, a detecting unit for detecting infrared light emitted from the invisible symbol, and an arithmetic operation unit for binarizing a detection signal from the detecting unit. The arithmetic operation unit calculates a differential coefficient of the detection signal, that corresponds to a position on the sample. On the basis of upper and lower threshold values set for the differential coefficient, the arithmetic operation unit determines a maximum value of the differential coefficient in a region exceeding the upper threshold value and a minimum value of the differential coefficient in a region smaller than the lower threshold value. The arithmetic operation unit binarizes the detection signal by using the maximum or minimum value as a leading or trailing edge of a binary function.
