    摘要: A variable displacement wobble plate type compressor with a variable angle non-rotary wobble plate, having a suction chamber for refrigerant returning from a refrigerating circuit via an evaporator, a discharge chamber for refrigerant after compression, suction and compression cylinder bores formed in a cylinder block, pistons reciprocating in the cylinder bores, a crankcase attached to the end of the cylinder block and receiving therein a drive and a wobble plate mechanism mounted about a drive shaft connectable to a rotary drive source, connected to the pistons to cause reciprocating motion of the pistons and capable of changing the wobble angle thereof and thereby change the strokes of the pistons, a first passageway for communicating the crankcase interior chamber with a discharge chamber to supply pressure acting as a back-pressure applied to the pistons, a control valve unit for closing and opening the first passageway, a second passageway extending through the drive shaft for communicating the crankcase interior chamber with the suction chamber to enable an extraction of the refrigerant from the crankcase interior chamber into the suction chamber, via a plurality of vent holes formed in and axially separately arranged in the circumference of the drive shaft, an annular sleeve element operatively connected to the drive plate and slidable on the drive shaft to cover a variable number of the plurality of the vent holes thereby changing the amount of extraction of the refrigerant in response to a change in the cooling load.

    摘要: A variable displacement wobble plate compressor with a guide unit for a wobble plate, having a cylindrical guide rod axially extending in the compressor in parallel with a compressor drive shaft, a slide slidably and rotatably fitted on the guide rod and provided with lateral pivots on laterally opposite sides thereof which extend in a direction at a right angle to the axis of the guide rod, and a pair of shoes pivotally engaged with the pivots of the slide and slidably received in a radial recess formed in a lowermost portion of the wobble plate. Each of the shoes has a semi-cylindrical outer face complementary with a semi-cylindrical concave wall of the radial recess of the wobble plate so as to permit a relative turning of the wobble plate to the shoes. The slide and shoes may have oil passageways and/or oil grooves.

    摘要: A swash-plate type compressor wherein a plurality of pistons fitted into a plurality of cylinder bores having their center on a circle are reciprocated by a swash-plate secured to a rotary shaft at a tilt angle. A swash-plate chamber rotatably accommodating the swash-plate concurrently functions as a passage for the refrigerant gas sucked, and an annular refrigerant gas passage, whose external diameter is larger than that of a circumcircle of the aforementioned cylinder bores and whose inner side is open to the swash-plate chamber, is formed on the external side of the swash-plate chamber. This annular passage for the refrigerant gas sucked functions as a by-pass therefor, diminishes the flow resistance of the refrigerant gas, and facilitates the cooling of the pistons with a result of reducing the operation noise produced from the engaging portion of the pistons and the swash-plate.

    摘要: Provided is a bipedal walking robot which includes a linear actuator, which connects a crus link and a foot of each leg away from an ankle joint, for driving the foot to rock around the ankle joint with respect to the crus link according to a telescopic motion thereof. The robot is capable of applying a desired moment to the foot for walking on stairs without increasing the linear actuator in size. The linear actuator is disposed in such a way that a telescopic force therefrom acts on a line inclined backward with respect to a connection line connecting a knee joint and the ankle joint. Preferably, a connection portion, which is connected to the crus link, of the linear actuator is disposed backward than from the connection line, and a connection portion, which is connected to the foot, of the linear actuator is disposed forward from the connection line.

    摘要: An automobile moves at a traveling speed in accordance with the position of an acceleration pedal. A compressor is driven by the engine of the automobile. The discharge displacement of the compressor is adjusted by an external control procedure. When the position of the acceleration pedal reaches a determining value, or above at which it is determined that engine power is needed for accelerating the vehicle, the compressor is controlled such that the discharge displacement decreases. The determining value is selected by a controller in relation to the traveling speed detected by a speed sensor. The determining value increases as the speed increases.

    摘要: A viscous fluid type heater includes a heating chamber for holding viscous fluid and a rotor located in the heating chamber. A holding chamber is located below the heating chamber to communicate with the heating chamber. A plunger, which is actuated by a solenoid, is movable between a forward position for maximizing the volume of the holding chamber and a rearward position for minimizing the volume of the holding chamber. When the plunger is at the forward position, viscous fluid is discharged from the heating chamber to the holding chamber. When the plunger is at the rearward position, viscous fluid is supplied from the holding chamber to the heating chamber. This allows the load of the heater to be removed or reinstated selectively. In an engine-driven vehicle, the engine can thus started without being hindered by the heater.
