Red, blue and green color filters the edge of which overlap the black matrix are formed at the pixels on the insulating substrate, and an organic insulating layer covering the black matrix and the color filters and having a contact hole exposing the gate pad is formed thereon. A gate wire including a gate line connected to the gate pad through the contact hole and a gate electrode connected to the gate line is formed on the organic insulating layer, and a gate insulating layer covering the gate wire is formed on the organic insulating layer. A semiconductor pattern and ohmic contact layers are sequentially formed on the gate insulating layer of the gate electrode. A data wire including a source electrode and a drain electrode that are made of a same layer on the ohmic contact layers and separated from each other, and a data line connected to the source electrode and defining the pixels of a matrix array by crossing the gate line is formed on the gate insulating layer. A passivation layer covering the data wire and having contact holes exposing the gate pad and the data pad is formed, and a pixel wire including a pixel electrode, a redundant gate pad, a redundant data pad that are respectively connected to the drain electrode, the gate pad and the data pad through the contact holes.

    摘要: An electrophoretic display includes a lower substrate, an upper substrate, a color display layer on the lower substrate, a pixel electrode on the lower substrate, and a common electrode on the lower substrate or the upper substrate. The common electrode does not overlap the pixel electrode, and an electrophoretic active layer having a dispersion medium and electrophoretic particles is arranged between the lower substrate and the upper substrate. The electrophoretic active layer is a single-polarity electrophoretic particle system, and grayscales are generated depending on the number of electrophoretic particles arranged in a portion of the electrophoretic active layer corresponding to the pixel electrode. The position of the electrophoretic particles is controlled by the magnitude of the electric field applied between the pixel electrode and the common electrode.

    摘要: A gray scale voltage generator and a method of generating a gray scale voltage in a transmissive and reflective type liquid crystal display device are disclosed. A transmissive mode gray scale data are transformed into real reflective mode gray scale data. An integer part is extracted from the real reflective mode gray scale data as a first reflective mode gray scale data. The first reflective mode gray scale data and temporary reflective mode gray scale data are mixed in a predetermined ratio by N-frame period. The temporary reflective mode gray scale data has a sum of one and the first reflective mode gray scale data. Pseudo gray scale data are inserted into the second reflective mode gray scale data. Therefore, superior display quality is provided in both transmissive and reflective mode.
