A foamable silicone rubber composition comprising (A) a diorganopolysiloxane having a viscosity of at least 10.sup.6 cs at 25.degree. C., (B) an organohydrogenpolysiloxane, (C) a platinum catalyst, (D) azodicarbonamide foaming agent, and (E) an acetylenic alcohol reaction controlling agent is foamed and cured, preferably through UHF vulcanization, into silicone rubber sponge. A silicone rubber composition comprising: (A) a diorganopolysiloxane, (B) a reinforcing filler, (C) an acid strength adjustor, and (D) a curing agent, wherein the extract water pH is in the range of 3.0 to 5.5, said extract water pH being defined in such a way that when 50 g of a toluene solution containing 5.0% by weight of said rubber composition is subjected to extraction with 10 g of deionized water, the pH of the resulting water is defined as the extract water pH. The cured product of said composition is good in extension fatigue resistance and flex fatigue resistance.

An acrylic rubber composition is proposed which is improved in respect of the extrusion-moldability as well as the surface slipperiness of the vulcanized article obtained therefrom. The composition comprises (a) an acrylic rubbery cooplymer which is a copolymer of a (meth)acrylic ester and a coolymerizable organosilicon compound having a silicon-bonded vinyl group in a molecule, (b) a reinforcing filler, (c) a powder of spherical particles having a specified average particle diameter and (d) an organic peroxide as a vulcanizing agent. The composition can be compounded further with a blowing agent to give a foamable rubber composition capable of being vulcanized into a spongy rubber body exhibiting excellent feeling on touch and slipperiness in contact with human skin to be useful, for example, as a material of cosmetic puffs.

The present invention provides a method and facility for preventing crumbling and powderization of green pellets when producing high strength green pellets using a powder feedstock and using the pellets in a rotary hearth reducing furnace and for efficiently reducing the same. It comprises kneading by a kneader 5 a feedstock of a powder of a fine particle size (20 to 80 wt % having size of not more than 10 μm) including a metal oxide and carbon-bearing powder fed from a feed storage tank 1 and producing green pellets by a pan type pelletizer 7. The green pellets are screened by a pellet screen 9, then dried by a pellet dryer 11 and reduced by firing in a rotary hearth reducing furnace 13. At that time, the green pellets are continuously conveyed to prevent crumbling.

The buffer amplifier is powered by the first and third power supply voltages.
