    摘要： Systems and techniques to communicate information between foreign agents and paging controllers are described. An apparatus may comprise a foreign agent having a foreign agent idle mode manager to store at least one paging controller identifier associated with an idle mode mobile station for a subnet. The subnet may have multiple paging controllers and associated paging groups. The foreign agent may send a paging request with a mobile station identifier for the idle mode mobile station to at least one of the multiple paging controllers corresponding to the at least one paging controller identifier. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

    摘要： Voice over IP (VoIP) packet header compression is performed for voice packets to be transmitted through a wireless channel. In at least one embodiment, packet headers are compressed to a fixed size that does not change based on channel conditions. In this manner, packet scheduling may be performed in the network in a reliable and efficient manner.

    摘要： A femtocell may be initialized on a network by automatically contacting a network service provider. The access point then automatically downloads an initial configuration from a bootstrap server belonging to the network service provider. In some cases, a femtocell access point may automatically determine, after boot up, whether it was pre-provisioned with credentials to authenticate itself with the network service provider. If so, it may use a domain name service to obtain an address of a bootstrap server. Otherwise, it may use dynamic host configuration protocol to discover the bootstrap server's Internet Protocol address.
