Abstract:
A cooling apparatus for electric equipment includes a generator configured to receive a heat load from first electric components, a evaporator configured to receive a heat load from second electric components, a closed compartment enclosing the generator and evaporator, and a absorber transferring heat from heated fluid to the outside of the closed compartment. To obtain an efficient and reliable cooling apparatus, the cooling apparatus includes a first expansion device which reduces the pressure of the fluid, and forwards the fluid in a liquid state and with a lower pressure to the secondary cooling element, which transfers heat to the received fluid from the second electric components for evaporating the fluid.
Abstract:
A method for generating switching plans to restore power to out-of-service areas after fault isolation through back feeding. A chromosome architecture is defined to create chromosomes representing candidate post-restoration systems. The chromosomes are evaluated are repeatedly genetically altered until an acceptable solution is identified. The solution identifies a plurality of switching operations that back feed power to the out-of-service areas in the most optimal manner.
Abstract:
A synchronization method for current differential protection comprises: selecting a point on the transmission line protected by the current differential protection; measuring the current and the voltage of each of the terminals of said transmission line; calculating the compensating voltage at the selected point respectively according to the measured current and the voltage of the each terminal; detecting and calculating the synchronization error by comparing all the compensating voltages.
Abstract:
A computer implemented method to display an industrial installation, which display may also display information about an event or an alarm in the installation. The method includes displaying an image which appears to the viewer to be a three dimensional holographic image including a view of the industrial installation. The image may also include one or more points in three dimensional space and which point or points are each mapped to a corresponding point or position in the industrial installation. A pointing device for actively indicating position on the image reflecting objects or positions in the installation is also described.
Abstract:
A method in a controller controlling a dynamic power compensator. The dynamic power compensator is arranged to provide active and reactive power to an electric power system, the dynamic power compensator including a battery energy storage. The method includes the steps of: monitoring a state of charge of the battery energy storage; detecting a voltage level in the electric power system requiring increased delivery of the reactive power to the electric power system; and controlling the battery energy storage in dependence on the monitored state of charge and detected voltage level. The invention also relates to a controller, computer programs and computer program products.

The evaporator includes a top collector, a bottom collector, and an evaporator body. The evaporator body includes at least one thermoconducting wall that is thermally connectable to the at least one heat emitting device, a plurality of evaporation channels, and a plurality of return channels.
Abstract:
An insulator for a gas insulated device and method of making and/or producing the insulator are disclosed. The insulator includes an injection molded insulator disc and a conductor. The insulator disc includes a center opening encompassed by an inner bead inside which the conductor is arranged. The insulator disc includes, for example, a first material which is injection molded onto the conductor.
Abstract:
A device and a method for visual monitoring and stabilization of an elongated metallic strip during continuous transport of the strip in a transport direction along a predetermined transport path, wherein the strip has been coated with a metallic layer by the strip having continuously passed through a bath of molten metal. The device includes an electromagnetic stabilizing device with at least one first pair of electromagnetic stabilizing means arranged on each side of the predetermined transport path, and a wiping device for wiping off superfluous molten metal from the strip by applying an air current in a line transversely of the transport direction of the strip and across essentially the whole width of the strip. A first image-reading apparatus takes images of the actual position of the strip in relation to the predetermined transport path. A second and third image-reading apparatus take images of the surface of the strip.

An exemplary method and arrangement for estimating the frequency and the positive sequence of a fundamental component of a measured three-phase voltage are disclosed (ναβ). The method includes measuring the three-phase voltage (ναβ), calculating estimates of a fundamental frequency voltage component ({circumflex over (ν)}αβ,1) and a difference ({circumflex over (φ)}αβ,1) between positive and negative sequence components of the fundamental frequency voltage from an error ({tilde over (ν)}αβ) between the measured three-phase voltage (ναβ) and at least one of the calculated estimates of the fundamental frequency voltage component ({circumflex over (ν)}αβ,1) and from an estimate of the angular frequency ({circumflex over (ω)}0) of the fundamental frequency voltage component, wherein the estimate of the angular frequency ({circumflex over (ω)}0) of the fundamental frequency voltage component is calculated from at lest one of the estimated differences ({circumflex over (φ)}αβ,1) and from the error ({tilde over (ν)}αβ) between the measured three-phase voltage and at least one of the calculated estimates of the fundamental frequency voltage component.
