The probe can include different transducer arrays, such as a linear, a curved linear, and a sector array that are combined into a single hand held unit with a wireless display. Related methods are provided, such as a method for automatically selecting the appropriate array for the user to scan with based on the intended exam and/or location of the probe on the body of a patient.

The control system may be capable of controlling one or more sensors of the sensor system to take at least two measurements, the at least two measurements including at least one measurement taken at each of two or more different measurement elevations of a subject's limb. In some examples, the control system may be capable of determining a blood flow difference based on the at least two measurements, of determining a hydrostatic pressure difference based on the two or more different elevations of the at least two measurements and of estimating a blood pressure based on one or more values of blood flow, the hydrostatic pressure difference and the blood flow difference.

摘要: Data is communicated from an implanted section to an external location. The implanted section includes a transducer such as a piezoelectric element with an ultrasound reflecting surface that moves in response to an applied driving signal. A sensor generates an output signal that depends on a sensed parameter, and a control circuit drives the transducer based on the sensor's output. The transducer's response to the driving signal is repeatable such that the value of the output signal can be determined by measuring the variations in the velocity of the surface using externally applied Doppler ultrasound, and computing the value of the sensor's output from the measured variations in velocity.

摘要: A wireless charging system for wirelessly charging an ultrasound imaging system is disclosed. The wireless charging system comprise one or more primary coils connected to a power source and is capable of transmitting power from the power source. The primary coil of the one or more primary coils is disposed in a charging unit of the ultrasound imaging system. One or more secondary coils are configured to receive power transmitted from the primary coil. One or more field focusing elements are positioned between the primary coil and the secondary coil. A field focusing element is capable of focusing the magnetic field from the primary coil onto the secondary coil for wirelessly transferring power to one or more of the ultrasound device and the probe of the ultrasound imaging system.

摘要: Light beams emitted from one or more light sources may be directed into an abdomen of a pregnant mammal toward a fetus contained therein. Some of the light may be reflected by the pregnant woman and fetus and received at a detector over a first time. A photo detector into an electronic reflected signal, which may be communicated to a computer, may then convert the received light. The electronic reflected signal may then be processed and/or analyzed to isolate a portion of the electronic reflected signal reflected from the fetus. The isolated portion of the electronic reflected signal reflected from the fetus may then be analyzed to determine a fetal hemoglobin oxygen saturation level of the fetus. An indication of the fetal hemoglobin oxygen saturation level may then be provided to an operator by way of, for example, a computer display.

A processor is configured to process the received reflected ultrasound signals to determine level of stomach fullness and output fullness data indicative of the determined level of stomach fullness. A memory stores calibration data representative of calibrated levels of stomach fullness including empty and full. A stored program has executable codes to, upon execution, control the ultrasound transponder, compare the fullness data against the calibration data, and output alert data upon a match of a preset fullness level.

摘要: To implement a single-chip ultrasonic imaging solution, on-chip signal processing may be employed in the receive signal path to reduce data bandwidth and an output data module may be used to move data for all received channels off-chip as a digital data stream. The digitization of received signals on-chip allows advanced digital signal processing to be performed on-chip, and thus permits the full integration of an entire ultrasonic imaging system on a single semiconductor substrate. The on-chip digitization of received signals also enables the on-chip integration of ultrasound processing and/or pre-processing to reduce the burden on off-chip computing. Data compression architectures are disclosed to facilitate the transfer of data off-chip as a digital data stream in accordance with the bandwidth requirements of standard commercially-available output interfaces.
