Abstract: Equipment and a method for circulating fluidized bed semidry simultaneous desulfurization and denitration of a sintering flue gas, comprising an ozone generator (2), a diluting blower (1), a mixing buffer tank (3), an ozone distributor (4), and a circulating fluidized bed (CFB) reactor tower (9). When evenly mixed by the mixing buffer tank (3), ozone is injected into a flue (4′) via the ozone distributor (4); and, an oxidized flue gas is introduced into the CFB reactor tower (9), where NOx, SO2, and SO3 in the flue gas are reacted with a Ca-based absorbent under the action of atomized water in the reactor tower, thus implementing simultaneous removal of SOx and NOx. This provides the characteristics of a simple system, great performance, small footprint, and inexpensive investments.

Abstract: An inlet particle separator system for a vehicle engine includes a hub section, a shroud section, and a splitter. The hub section has a hub outer surface that diverges, relative to the axis of symmetry, to a hub apex. The shroud section has a shroud inner surface that surrounds, and is spaced apart from, at least a portion of the hub section to define a main flow passageway between the hub outer surface and the shroud inner surface. The splitter is disposed downstream of the air inlet and extends into the main flow passageway to divide the main flow passageway into a scavenge flow path and an engine flow path. The hub section and the shroud section are configured such that the cross sectional flow area of the main flow passageway decreases downstream of the air inlet to define a throat section that is disposed upstream of the hub apex.

Abstract: An impact moisture separator for separating a liquid moisture from a compressed gas. The impact moisture separator includes a plurality of impact plates that are positioned within the inner region of the separator and may be downstream of at least one strut. The strut may be configured to disperse the flow of compressed gas. The impact plates each have a plurality of vanes that extend beyond a plate portion of the impact plates. The vanes are configured to provide a passage for the flow of compressed gases and are offset from the vanes of the adjacent, successive impact plate. Further, the impact plates and strut(s) are tilted toward the incoming flow of compressed gas so as to assist in influencing the downward flow of the compressed gas, and thereby facilitate the flow of separated liquid moisture toward a reservoir of the housing.

Abstract: An apparatus for partially blocking airflow in a precleaner for an internal combustion engine may include a stationary barrier configured to be mounted in a precleaner. The apparatus may further include a movable barrier coupled to the stationary barrier and configured to move between an open position and a closed position in response to changes in an air flow rate through the precleaner. When the air flow rate through the precleaner reaches a threshold air flow rate, the movable barrier may move from the closed position toward the open position, and when the air flow rate through the precleaner drops below the threshold air flow rate, the movable barrier may move from the open position toward the closed position.

Abstract: The invention relates to a filter element (10), comprising a filter body (12) in concentric form having a longitudinal axis (L), a first end disk (16) situated on one end face (15), and a second end disk (18) situated on the opposite end face (17), and a support tube (14) situated concentrically around the longitudinal axis (L) between the first and the second end disks (16, 18). At least one of the end disks (18) has a centering element (22) that is situated around the longitudinal axis (L), as a result of which the filter element (10) can be radially centered during installation in the housing (108). A support structure (20) is provided on the at least one end disk (18) which is concentric with respect the centering element (22) and is provided for at least axially supporting the filter element (10) in the housing (108). The invention further relates to a filter system (100) for exchangeably installing such a filter element (10).

Abstract: An apparatus and process is disclosed for mitigating coking in an FCC reactor plenum. The apparatus and process utilize a baffle to create a inner volume for the product vapors to prevent contact with a relatively cool plenum. The baffle also limits the amount of the time the product vapors spend in the plenum minimizing time for coke formation and limit product vapors from entering low fluidization zones.

Abstract: An air quality control system (AQCS) 14 useful for treating flue gas FG, such as flue gas FG produced by a fossil fuel fired boiler 12 is described. The AQCS 14 is equipped with a dust separator 37. The dust separator 37 is useful under relatively high dust load conditions downstream from a dry scrubber reactor 36 with limited equipment wear and limited space requirements. As such, the dust separator captures particulate matter with a dust trap that intercepts the flow of particulate matter for collection of the particulate matter in a hopper.
