    摘要: A thread guide device for use with sewing and embroidering machines is adjustable to accommodate a variety of differently dimensioned thread spools or cones and is adapted for use with machines having a horizontally disposed thread spool support rod. The thread guide device includes a base having a support rod for supporting a spool or cone of thread on a rotor journalled for rotation on the support rod and dimensioned for insertion into the core of a spool or cone of thread. The rotor has a tapered end portion for accommodating spools or cones of different sizes. A wire loop thread guide secured to the base and mounted for selective lateral adjustment relative to the support rod has a first portion disposed within a slot of a slotted arm and a second portion provided with a coil wrapped around the slotted arm. A set screw secures a tapered retaining cap having a central axial aperture receiving the support rod to the support rod. A free floating thread retaining ring placed over an upper portion of a core of a thread spool or cone, allowing thread to be fed between the retaining ring and the core. A support ball mounted in an adjusted position along on the support rod by a set screw limits off-center movement of a thread spool or cone. The thread guide may be mounted on a ball having a cylindrical aperture slidably receiving the adjustment rod therethrough, such that the thread guide is selectively and independently adjustable in two perpendicular linear directions and also mounted for selective and independent adjustment around a first axis of rotation and a second perpendicular axis of rotation.

Such accessories can include, for example, a caution tape dispenser that mounts to a side surface of a pole following installation of the pole, and various pole clips that locate the caution tape at other poles in a clean, visually attractive, and effective manner.     摘要: A cable stranding machine has an elongate rotor comprising at least one pair of longitudinal beams and pairs of bobbin bearing devices mounted on the beams in spaced relationship along the rotor length. The bearing devices have pintles supporting thread bobbins for rotation about parallel horizontal axes perpendicular to the rotor axis. Each pintle is rotatable relative to a pintle support which in turn is secured to the respective rotor beam. One or preferably both pintle supports in each pair of bearing devices are formed with means permitting them to be secured to the respective beam in a finite number of different axial positions, whereby the rotor can readily be adjusted to receive bobbins of correspondingly different nominal width. Additionally, at least one pintle in each pair of opposed bobbin bearing devices is axially displaceable relative to its pintle support between an advanced position in which a bobbin is held securely between the opposed pintles for rotation therewith, and a retracted position utilized for loading and unloading the rotor.

    摘要: An actuatable member of a pintle assembly is slidably movable along an axis for movement relative to a reel-carrying cradle support member between reel engaging and disengaging positions. Compression springs are used to urge the actuatable members of the illustrated embodiments toward the reel-engaging positions. Locking devices, which can move between locking and releasing positions, are each arranged to directly cooperate and block the movement of an actuatable member to a disengaging position thereof in the locking position of the locking device. The locking devices may include blocking elements such as rigid displaceable balls or pins, or may include cam arrangements and the like. A fluid pressure system is provided to act at least on the locking devices and release the same when fluid pressure is applied. Advantageously, the fluid pressure system also acts on the actuatable member to move the same to the reel disengaging position upon release of the locking device. The described embodiments provide fail-safe operation during reel engagement independently of the fluid pressure provided by the fluid pressure system.
